  • Please note: These shoes are often handmade and the sizing is handwritten inside the shoe. A dash (-) is used to represent half sizes. For example, ordering a size 8.5 would show 8.5 M on the shoebox, but 8-M on the inside of the shoe itself. Alternately, an 8 M would have no dash and show 8 M on the box and inside the shoe.

Born on the streets of Capri, the Jack Rogers Navajo sandal immigrated to America courtesy of style icon and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. Kennedy favored its elegant ease as a relief from the mannerist style that her official life demanded. First made by small, independent cobblers in and around Palm Beach, the Miami Footwear Company put the sandal into expanded production in 1960. The Jack Rogers Navajo sandal became an immediate hit, as it became available to fashionable women coast to coast. A half century later, the Jack Rogers Navajo sandal is still made by hand in Florida. It is supplemented by a fully-evolved, year-round footwear and ready-to-wear accessories collection, whose emblems are inspired by the original shoe of the 1960s. Jack Rogers has expanded into a full lifestyle line incorporating iconic design elements and thoughtful color combinations into women's and girls' shoes, dresses, handbags, boots, and more. Since its inception, Jack Rogers' well-designed products and wearable, affordable styles have afforded the brand a devoted following that spans generations. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City recently recognized Jack Rogers' heritage by initiating the brand into its prestigious Costume Institute.

The classic Jack Rogers Navajo flat is the go to shoe for summer. Perfect with skirts, shorts or jeans, they somehow manage to be dressy and casual at the same time. I'm a little bit puzzled by some of the reviews that I see regarding the fit, so here's my take on it: these shoes are not intended for anyone with wide feet. Half sizes are marked with a dash on the inside of the strap. Half sizes are the same length as whole sizes, the strap is just slightly wider. I personally think they are sized lengthwise for the half size and are therefore, a little bit long if you truly take a whole size, however, my normal size is a 6 1/2 and the 6 is a perfect fit. The strap is supposed to be very snug at first because the leather is soft and will stretch to the shape of your instep after the first wearing. I suspect that those who return their shoes for a larger size will regret that decision once they are broken in. Also, these are not meant to be walked in for miles as there is zero cushioning or arch support. Save that task for your Tevas. They are, however, perfectly comfortable for the purpose for which they were intended--light shopping or sipping cocktails at the club, so pour yourself a G&T and enjoy!

I usually wear 10 - 10.5. I ordered a size 10. The bottom is way longer than my foot. Looks weird. Also the strap across the instep is so loose, that it's difficult to walk in them. Disappointed.

Cute, timeless flat. The strap across the foot is smaller than on many slides. I found this a huge plus, as this style of shoe often flops around when I walk. However, if you have a very high arch or wide feet, you may find it too tight. The shoes do take a couple of wearings to break in, but are really comfortable once this is done. Do sand or scuff the bottoms before wearing. They are crazy slick right out of the box.

I really like the style of this shoe, and the colors are neutral enough to go with pretty much everything. The bone color is actually a bit lighter than it appears in the picture: it's more like a pale skin tone. I usually take either an 8.5 or a 9, so I initially ordered the 9 and they were definitely too big. The 8.5 seems on the smallish side but it's the better fit, so I'm keeping them. I've only worn these once so far and they did rub my feet a little uncomfortably on the sides and the heel, but I think they'll become more comfortable after I've worn them a few times and broken them in. I also did a fair amount of walking the first day I wore them, so I'm sure that was a factor. Overall, the quality is excellent (I love the real leather) and they're cute and versatile, so I'd recommend them.

These shoes are very classy looking. The white band seems tight at first, but leather stretches. This is my second pair of Jack Rogers and they are great summer shoes!

Love these. Pretty true to size, I wear a 6.5-7 and the 6.5 fits perfectly. Are a little slippery on the bottom when you first get them but they scuff up and are fine. My favorite shoes right now!
