I found these knives at Target for a much higher price, but we really wanted them for our first knife set. After a bit of searching online I found them for a great price here on Zappos with free shipping. The knives are great, 5 stars all the way, they are well balanced, hold a great edge and they look great sitting on the counter in the block. My only complaint about the whole transaction is how they were shipped. I really think Zappos forgot that they were shipping knives instead of shoes because they were packaged the way I would expect a pair of shoes to be packaged, the box of knives was simply in a larger box, with no packing material of any kind. When I opened the knife box it appeared that a small tornado had gone through and dinged up several of the blades. They were not dinged beyond repair and a few swipes on the sharpening steel smoothed them out. All that to say, Zappos has a great price and free shipping, but maybe they should stick to shoes.

Look: Top Quality Product - I needed to replace a stainless 3 qt. sauce pan that was 25 years old; you know the kind that had the black handle attached with a screw. Well the screw rusted and the handle broke off. Anyway, I came to Zappos to see if they had anything that was affordable. I had gone to other websites to find prices of $150 to $289. At Zappos, I found the Henckel open stock 4 qt. sauce pan for a very reasonable price, just $86.00 delivered. I could not believe it. With Zappos return policy, I thought I would give it a try. I have bought all of the Henckel knives and love them so why not their cookware. Wow, was I surprised when it was delivered. The quality was top notch and from a chef's point of view, it was simply "beautiful". I have since bought the rest of the set. Now I will say, if you are weak armed, don't get this pan. It is very heavy but for those who appreciate a good pan and do a lot of cooking, this pan will handle anything you throw at it and keep its beauty after many uses.
