After several Zappos purchases and returns I'm finally keeping some shoes! I'm not completely convinced that these Chukkas are worth the price, especially since they're made out of kangaroo. That said they are very well made, surprisingly light and comfortable. I've been wearing GBX for years and have grown accustomed to a bigger boot style. While these aren't as "big" as the GBXs they are a nice compromise compared to the smaller Timberland or Dr Marten style of boot. Gore-Tex lining can make the feet a little sweatier than normal, but there will be no leaching of sweat into the leather. All in all I'm happy with my purchase.

I just received my third pair of these Irish Setters. I absolutely love them! They are very light weight, I am on my feet most of day. They look great but most important of all: they are dry! My feet perspire something awful but these shoes breathe and I have never worn a more comfortable and still supporting shoe.

Fit true to size. Very comfortable no heel movement while walking, lightweight. Haven't used them in wet weather but they seem like they will be very water resistant. Good craftsmanship. I'm giving these 4 stars only because I haven't tried the boots in all conditions but am confident they will work well.

These boots are holding up well so far. They are waterproof and my feet do not get too hot. Size seems true. Break in period was about two weeks. The only thing I would change would be the little tab on the back of the boot holds up my pants sometimes, but no big deal really. Zappos service is just awesome.

I have had a pair of 869s for a couple of years and I love them. I hunt and also do construction work at various power plants across the United States. The ground sensing part of the boots works excellent for concrete and steel and also works great in weather; rainy, muddy, and rough terrain conditions. I strongly recommend these boots, thanks.

These shoes are wonderful! My husband had a similar pair from another manufacturer that were in horrible condition, but would not stop wearing them because he could not find an adequate replacement. These Irish Setter Countrysiders have been just the right pair. He says they are much more comfortable, and fit better than any shoe he has ever had. He even likes them better than his sneakers!

I loved this shoe right out of the box, well at least 15 minutes out of the box after I dirtied up that white sole, brand new shoe look. Waterproof, comfortable, good work shoe look. Here's my beef: after about three months use the inner lining started to wear at the heel. It's kind of a slick fabric that helps the boot slide on and off easy, but didn't hold up well. There's a chance I may have had the shoe one size too large and encouraged more wear in that area, but I have to say it felt right. Otherwise a great shoe; perhaps better results with a better fit?

This is my third pair of these boots I have purchased in six years. I wear them every single day and I never maintain them in any way; I just wear them and they last at least two years. Waterproof, comfortable, great quality, durability, and comfort make these the best boots for the money. If you want a pair of boots that will last with zero maintenance these are the boots for you! They provide comfort and protect your feet and ankles at the same time. I work construction and really put these boots through the paces in every way; water, dirt, grease, rocks and chemicals can't hurt these things. The best quality is the strength and protection they provide for my ankles and the durability they offer with no care. I strongly recommend these boots for the real men out there that just wear and use their stuff and just don't take the time to take care of them.

Outdoorsman - If you are looking for a hunting boot, don't look at this boot. No mid foot control at all. Very loose fitting boot. No cushion at all. I don't know what you would wear this boot for, but definitely not hunting.

Red Wing Irish Setter Elk Tracker 882 - Boots run a full size smaller than marked. I am a true 8b, but the 9b fits perfectly. They look wide from the outside, but width is true. Boots are warm, very comfortable, and well constructed. Leather is soft, and boots are easy to put in, as tongue is attached to boot.

Great, comfortable boots! These are major hiking boots in all kinds of weather. I didn't get a chance to break them in and I was comfortable throughout the wearing. They are 2 lbs. each so your legs get a workout. They are definitely extremely comfortable and I would recommend them 100%. I needed a men's narrow and these filled the bill.

WOW! Finally a boot that is comfy, well made, and stylish. It is everything I was looking for in my search of 8 different pair. Some were too baggy around the ankle, some looked cheap, some had a wide shaft, etc. This fits like a glove. Only problem...I am a size 9 and in this, I finally ended up with a 7.5. This is definitely not true to size.

Could not get boot on - I couldn't get the left boot on because my bunion prevents me from bending it at enough of an angle. The gusset prevents the tongue from being pulled back to allow for more room. Still it looked well made. I would recommend trying it. I tried a man's boot because I like the classic styles!

Wrong size - Zappos is first rate, ordered the boots early one day and received them the afternoon of the next. The size was off as I wear an 11 B and ordered an 11.5 b. With a thin sock, the boots were too short and very wide in design.

Just bought these on a "whim"...I am moving to Montana soon. Just stopped into a local sporting goods store and wandered over to the shoe department. I looked at all the boots on the rack, and these just jumped out at me. The most expensive pair there, and I was actually looking for less expensive pair, but I know it's true we get what we pay for. After trying them on I was convinced that these will be my new hunting boots for many years to come! The leather is very soft right out of the box, making the boots very comfortable right from the get go. Overall construction looks great too, as the soles are sewn on, not cemented, and can be replaced if ever the need arises.

Great construction site shoe - I restore older homes for a living. I am on and off a job site regularly and at times things can get somewhat dangerous for your feet not to mention otherwise. These shoes have done an excellent job of protecting my feet against nail punctures and items inadvertently falling on my feet. Always an accident but nevertheless it happens. Very comfortable, professional to look at, and a great construction site shoe.

Excellent shoe - I've ordered and sent back several other shoes in this category. These shoes are the best, plenty of height in the toe area, extremely comfortable and an all around good looking shoe. They do run about 1/2 size small so order a size up!
