This was my first pair of inov-8 sneaks and I'm thoroughly impressed. They are used primarily for crossfit and other gym related activities and are a welcomed change from previous sneakers (Nike Free, Reebok Flex, etc.). Tons of room for toes to splay and minimal drop so my heels are close to the ground on power lifts. I've purchased two more pairs of inov-8's since these...highly recommended. By the way, Zappos shipping is warp speed!

Bought these for Crossfit. Feels light and good for running on pavement. Like running in these on pavement vs my F-lite 230's. Good all around shoe for Crossfit.

These are the shoes I've been chasing. Over the past few years, I've cycled through a bunch of shoes. My quest has always been for low-profile, good balance, and (quasi) minimalist shoes that I can use for weights, plyometrics, cardio, and limited running. These are the real deal. For my build (6'2", 195lbs) these are ideal. They have great feel and just the right amount of cushioning for my purposes. I've been through Nike Frees, Vibrams, New Balance, multiple indoor soccer shoes, a couple of types of inov-8's, Reebok Crossfit 2's; but these are my favorite. While they have a bit of a trail feeling (and styling), they're ideal for crossfit style workouts. The grip is extraordinary; however, these do not over-the-top lugs that render some trail style shoes undesirable for my goals. For those who are not familiar with inov-8's, the 2 arrow (most cushioned) version, which these are, are still in the "firmer" range of most other brands. Accordingly, I find these to walk the line perfectly. My knees and and ankles are feeling much better than with some of my previous shoes, but these are not the least bit spongy.

I really really like these shoes. In addition to the fact that they are the best looking athletic shoes i've seen in a very long time, they are very comfortable, and they have served me well for the past month's worth of workouts. I've done some lifting in them and they've provided good stability. I was forced to run on concrete/asphalt and they felt good even with the minimum coushin they provide.

This is an incredible all around trainer. Very light, surprisingly stable for borderline minimalistic shoe and great ventilation. I will get a lot of use out of these!!
