I love these shoes. These are my first trail runners, and they're everything I hoped they would be. I am a tall (6'1"), light (155 lbs.), neutral-gait runner with fairly high arches. I run in the Mizuno Wave Rider (a light neutral-cushioned shoe) on roads and easy trails, and I wanted something else that could handle everything from muddy single-track to rooty, rocky northern New England mountain trails. The Roclite 295 is typical of what I've read and heard about the Inov-8 brand in general: fairly minimal support, super-light, and a nice grippy outsole. If you're looking for a shoe with pronation control or a ton of support, the Roclite 295 is probably not the shoe for you. But if you're looking for a minimal, light, super-flexible, grippy trail runner, the 295 is great. A couple of additional notes: (1) the upper does a great job of holding the foot in place on rough trails; and (2) the shoe dumps water like crazy. It's not a waterproof shoe, but it doesn't soak up water the way most running shoes do.

I got these shoes for my daily power walks. They are quite comfortable and offer good support. I like them because they aren't the usual big name running shoes that I frequently buy. The shipping was really fast. I always am impressed with Zappos.

The best shoe you will find for trail running. Comfortable, lightweight and keep out even the finest sand, I do a lot of trail running in the desert, also at the beach, no sand in my shoes. I liked them so much that I also got a pair for my husband, and he loves them, too. Great service, as usual, from Zappos!

I am a disc golfer, and a good shoe is important to your game. I have played in a lot of different brands of shoes, and this shoe is the best disc golf shoe I have played in, hands down. I had great traction, even in muddy conditions. There are no worries about slipping. This is a very comfortable shoe as well. Also, one of the best off road running shoes I have worn. There is no better shoe out there. The dual compound rubber of climbing and running shoes that make up this sole creates traction like you want believe, even on wet rock.

I purchased the Inov-8 Roclite 295's for my husband for Christmas. He is a power walker (5 miles daily). He previously had another pair and is a big fan of this brand and style for his treks. He has not taken them off since he got them. The shoes came on time, quality terrific and very reasonable price. We will continue to come to Zappos for our ongoing sports shoe needs! Thanks!

About inov-8
All inov-8 footwear goes through extensive testing by enthusiasts and elite international athletes, to guarantee they perform like they should. Their whole design development process centers on optimizing the end user's performance. The uppers of inov-8 shoes are extremely functional with mesh in the forepart and tongues for maximum breathability. This creates a good climate that helps you run at your best. When you run through water and the shoe gets soaked, it creates a pumping action that expels the water from the shoe allowing it to dry quickly. The lace webbing is positioned allowing a secure foothold without altering the natural alignment of the metatarsals. The back of their shoes are cleanly cut which allows your Achilles tendon to experience high levels of comfort and minimum restriction- particularly when running down hill.
The inov-8 team is made up of experts with proven track records in the footwear fields of sports, mountaineering, marine, outdoor and industrial design and development. This linked with a strong bio-mechanics input, coupled with a test team of elite athletes in the mountain sport environment gives inov-8 the creative culture for next generation products.

These shoes are so light and heavenly... I would wear them daily, but I keep getting them wet in the ocean when I take my dogs hiking. These are perfect for light trails and washing off the mud is easy, too. They are my first shoes from Inov-8 and I liked them so much, I ordered another pair. I have wide feet, so the flexibility to buy men’s sizing is very convenient.

I purchased these shoes yesterday based on reviews and exceptional style, they arrived this morning (amazing Customer Service Zappos!!!) and I’ve been wearing them all day. They are beautifully crafted shoes, very lightweight and stylish. I can’t wait to do some trail running and gym workouts in them!

There is zero arch support in these sporty, lightweight shoes. If you need a good arch, buy a pair of Chacos brand hiking shoes.

This shoe is a minimalist trail runner. Because the sole is flexible, free of excessive padding and support for pronation issues, the shoe fits like a sock. The feel is exceptional because the shoe conforms to the foot. The lacing system is sophisticated and allows the toe area to be adjusted to a different tightness then the arch area at the top of the shoe. The rubber on the sole is sticky and grippy-at least as much as a climbing shoe. The shoe runs great. It provides just enough protection from sharp rocks, yet you can feel the ground in a satisfying and confidence inspiring manner. Regarding arch support, I put excellent precisely because the shoe hugs the arch but allows the arch muscles to develop, versus atrophy as with traditional hight tech shoes.

The previous shoes I bought at a footwear store left me with badly crippling impact injuries on both feet, so I had high hopes for Inov-8s and was not disappointed! The foot bed is solid like a quality beach sandal, the fabric is light and stays clean, the strapping and laces bring the fit up fast. I added gels to get the fit exactly where I wanted it. In one hour they're 'broken in', air light like you're not wearing shoes, and for the first time in years, I can run cross! Pain's gone! I will wear these Inov-8s until they are shredded.

Nice shoe. All my running is done on the roads and these things really aren't the best choice for that but they're light and comfy for just kicking around.

I love these. The fit is great and true to size. They feel light as a feather and look great also. Very cool webbing makes for a custom fit. I can feel how sticky and grip the tread is and cannot wait to get out and do some hiking. I bought these shoes to take on vacation, where I plan to do a lot of walking and some hiking in hot weather (hence, no hiking boots wanted).

Comfortable, very light, allow your feet to move. No rigid support. Soles are nice and grippy. Not sure how they will hold up as I wear them as everyday shoes on concrete, asphalt, etc. (I walk a lot in my job). Great on the trail.

I ordered these to run in outdoors while stationed in Afghanistan. I have had them for a month now and not had any problems at all, they are very comfortable. They did come a little snug, felt about a half to a quarter size smaller than normal, but other than that, I like them.

his is my second pair. Just as I expected from Inov-8. They are extremely light, breathable, and well constructed. Rocklites are perfect for the ultra lighter. Try them for yourself. Inov-8 has been my go to outdoor footwear shoes it comes to ultralight trekking/ hiking and everyday go to footwear. The English can make pretty good gear. Rocklites can perform.

I bought these for doing agility training with my dog. I am really pleased. Great traction, very comfortable, light weight. I may end up putting my orthotics in for over pronation but I have to do that in all my running shoes.

These shoes are great for what I bought them for: running on trails in the San Gabriel Mountains. The sole has heavy lugs that grip sandy trails as well as many day hiking boots. The shoe fits quite snugly around the forefoot but has a roomy toe box. This is great, as I have "Morton's Toe" (second toe longer than the big toe). I wish more shoe makers did this.

These shoe are great. Very light and they dry out quickly when you get them wet. The sizing seemed about right. The sticky soles are very reassuring on the trail. I highly recommend.
