I had bought the F-Lite 230's for crossfit and loved them. However, if you want to run more than three miles daily the 230's are a little minimal (which is how they should be). I loved the F-Lite's so much that I picked up the Road X's when they came out to replace my Asics.

This is my first pair of minimalist running shoes. As of this writing I've put just over 250 miles in 4 months. Construction is solid--nothing is coming apart. The soles are in good shape and seem like they've got at least another 75-100 miles on them. I'm not a very good midfoot striker, especially with my left foot. So I still tend to heel strike there, and there just isn't quite enough cushion for me. I like the low heel/toe drop, but just need a little softer ride.

What happened to these shoes? I've been wearing their Roclite line for a while now for running, hiking and backpacking and absolutely love them for their narrow fit. Apparently, all their new Road-x shoes are molded on a new "A" last. These fit the same through the heel and midfoot, but then curve dramatically toward the big toe and are very wide. My big toe was nearly in the middle of the toe box with lots of room to the inside and no room for my little toes up against the outside wall. Very strange fit; unlike any other running shoe I've ever tried on. I am returning these for the F-Lite 230's and hoping those will fit me better. Also, most usually say to order half a size up with Inov-8 shoes. I usually wear a size 11.5 in Asics, but a size 12 in Inov-8 fits me perfectly.

Great shoes but be careful. I think that the size is UK, which is a size larger than US. They are really light and have excellent ventilation.
Brands I'd also recommend: Smartwool socks

I have been a runner since my seventh grade year and have tried many different pairs of shoes, all claiming to be the best running shoes to date. I had heard of Inov-8 through crossfit and was interested when I heard they were getting into the minimalist running market. I have to say that these are the best running shoes I have ever owned. I had a pair of Asics Gel Nimbus shoes before these and was blown away by the Road-X 255. I am looking forward to the next level of shoes from Inov-8 and will be purchasing no other training shoes. I highly recommend these to anyone who is a moderate to full time runner.

I have been transitioning to minimalist running for about 6 months with the NB Trail Minimus, but needed a shoe with a bit more support for longer distances (8+ miles), and these worked perfectly.

I love this runner. Still on my first pair with hundreds of miles on them. I bought a second pair on sale just to have, but the first pair is so good I can't give them up. This shoe learns your foot, fits like a glove, all without breaking down.
