Amazing minimalist running shoe! Do not run in these shoes unless you stay on the middle/balls of your feet. There is no padding for heel strike. Very lightweight, I have posted my best times in these shoes. I usually wear 8.5 US and I wear 7 UK or 8 US in inov8 so sizing is a little off. I have another pair of inov8's in same size. Toe box is a little spacious; however, there is no sliding around or movement despite the space. Even though toe box is spacious middle and heel are snug and hold well. Love them and will get another pair when these run out (no pun intended).

Excellent shoe all around! I now mostly wear this one to do CrossFit WoD's and wear the 195's around and when I coach (which I have in red, black and soon gray).

I am an avid CrossFitter and train approx 5-6 days a week. I have been using inov8s since the blue 230s...about a couple years. I have the 195s as well. I like these 155s the most out of them all! They are super light and are great for running and CrossFit. I am larger in size and have no issues with them. I usually wear a 11.5 but ordered these in 11s and they fit great. I do hate the color!
Brands I'd also recommend: New balance minimus

I have owned a lot of Inov-8s. These are very comfortable with a wide toe box. The website says they will only last 300 miles. We'll see -- that is about the use I have gotten out of other Inov-8s.

I am a CrossFitter and Affiliate Owner. I experiment with a lot of footwear to try to enhance my performance. I don't think I will every wear another shoe other than INOV-8. The 155s are the most comfortable sneaker I have ever worn. I can wear them for multiple training modalities without any concerns. I love INOV-8s!

About inov-8
All inov-8 footwear goes through extensive testing by enthusiasts and elite international athletes, to guarantee they perform like they should. Their whole design development process centers on optimizing the end user's performance. The uppers of inov-8 shoes are extremely functional with mesh in the forepart and tongues for maximum breathability. This creates a good climate that helps you run at your best. When you run through water and the shoe gets soaked, it creates a pumping action that expels the water from the shoe allowing it to dry quickly. The lace webbing is positioned allowing a secure foothold without altering the natural alignment of the metatarsals. The back of their shoes are cleanly cut which allows your Achilles tendon to experience high levels of comfort and minimum restriction- particularly when running down hill.
The inov-8 team is made up of experts with proven track records in the footwear fields of sports, mountaineering, marine, outdoor and industrial design and development. This linked with a strong bio-mechanics input, coupled with a test team of elite athletes in the mountain sport environment gives inov-8 the creative culture for next generation products.

Great shoe, very lightweight. Not really any tread to speak of, so road-only. Perfect for barefoot running, crossfit, some basic weightlifting. My guess is due to the lightweight nature of the shoe it won't be the most durable, but for me an acceptable tradeoff.

Excellent minimalist running shoe. I recently made the switch to minimalist running, and after repeatedly having my toes rubbed the wrong way in a pair of Vibram FiveFingers, I decided to switch back to a traditional shoe. These Inov-8 Road-X 155s have been excellent. Lots of room in the toe box, and a very minimal feel. The only complaint is the color. I'm not a flashy person and would much prefer some more subtle options that didn't prompt people to look at my feet so much, but it's not the end of the world. Shoe ran a half size smaller than what I normally wear.

I have a wider foot and so this shoe is great because it is not too narrow. Be warned that there is no arch support and it is a true low profile shoe. I had some arch pain in the beginning because of that. Great product, great quality and of course Zappos is awesome!

I bought these shoes for Crossfit. I wanted a pair of the Inov-8 230 f-lite 230's, but they were sold out in my size (woman's 6.5). These are road running shoes, so the bottom has very little tread. I was worried about that for box jumps and burpees in the gym, but so far it hasn't been a problem! I've taken them running on the road as well, and I'm very impressed. They're so light and flat; I can really work on striking with the ball of my foot. I highly recommend them!

These are the best pair of shoes I have ever purchased for exercise ever. I buy a lot of shoes too and this one takes the cake. They are like slippers when you put them on, fit very well, and are great for CrossFitting, which means they can be used for anything (Oly lifting, running, box jumps, burpees, etc.). They fit identical to my Inov-8 195s in length (same size) but they are wider in the toe box, which is good for someone with wider feet like mine. These run the same as my other shoes, all 10.5. They also are much more free in the sole as they don't have some piece of plastic embedded like other Inov-8s do. These are a home run! More colors would be nice of course, but I am over the yellow.

After putting 350 miles and a hole in a pair of F-Lite 195s, I was eager to try out inov8's road shoe line. I cant say I'm crazy about the color scheme, but I do love the fit and feel of this shoe. It is incredibly light but the thin sole is fairly soft so it dampens a bit of your foot strike. There is no sole/midsole construction. the midsole just has a texture imprinted onto the bottom. I would only expect to get 400 miles or less from these shoes, but so far they feel amazing on my feet.

I originally wanted the Inov-8 220's but they weren't available in my size, so I went with this style and I'm glad I did. I love these shoes. I use them for cross-fit and Olympic lifting. They're an amazing product and perfect for the sport!

I really like the zero drop and weight, however, I am so used to running in minimal shoes there is almost too much cushioning. If you are just experimenting with the minimal movement, these are a great transition shoe.

These are so light! These shoes are sick! I just got them for Christmas and have worn them a couple of times. The are probably better for higher arches, mine are low but they still work. They are very low profile, with no noticeable drop from heel to toe. They are definitely minimalist trainer/performance shoes and not terrain shoes. The bottom seems so thin that you would definitely create some issues stepping on the wrong surfaces. I will use these for crossfitting when it is indoors. The color is sweet, and the size ran pretty true to Nike/Asics sizes for me at 10½.

After developing plantar fasciitis, I tried the traditional prescription to deal with the condition -- stability shoes and orthotics. It didn't work. Then I read "Born to Run" by Christopher McDougall (excellent book, by the way) and reassessed my running style and shoes. I transitioned to a much more minimal shoe, began going barefoot more often and performing daily foot exercises. Well, it all worked to alleviate my PF and these Inov-8 shoes were a big part of that! I use these shoes when I run on roads and more minimal shoes when I trail run. I love that these shoes are actually shaped like a human foot with a rounded, not pointed, toe-box. These shoes are also wide enough for a foot that has "gone natural"! Please understand if you buy these shoes that they are minimalist shoes; this means they are designed to have no arch support and little padding. If you are transitioning to minimalist running, this is an excellent shoe to try! If your feet and lower legs are not strong, you will be a little sore as you build strength since these shoes allow the foot to move naturally -- something traditional running shoes don't do. They are comfortable, lightweight, breathable and a great minimal road running shoe. The sole is made of a softer material similar to the EVA midsole of other shoes and does wear faster than a traditional running shoe sole. I wish they came in some color besides yellow though! When my current pair wears out, I will definitely look to Inov-8 for a replacement. I also hike in Inov-8 Roclite 288s and X-Talon 240s and I have a pair of F-Lite 195s for casual wear; needless to say, I'm an Inov-8 fan!
Brands I'd also recommend: Vibram Fivefingers, Merrell Barefoot, New Balance Minimus

In short, these are the best running shoes I've ever worn. They are a perfect compromise between a very minimal shoe like the VFF and a shoe with more structure like the Nike Lunaracer (both of which I've also spent considerable time running in). About me and how I use them: I'm 5'10", 140 lbs, I run about 40 miles a week, am currently training for an 8k and have a natural affinity for minimalist running shoes and bright colors. I love the VFF, but when I'm doing speed work, I feel like I need just a tiny bit of cushioning to really fly. The Lunaracer is a good shoe, but a little too much "help" despite its light weight - plus I get crazy blisters running in them. I wear the Road-X 155 for all my runs, from fast 5k's to long runs around 15 miles. I am not usually evangelical about shoes but I can't stop telling people how great these are!
