- A lightweight approach shoe that's flexible enough to smear, yet stiff enough to edge. Ideal for climbers and mountain walkers.
- Hardy nubuck leather upper promotes a snug fit and durable protection.
- Lacing extends down to the toe to ensure a secure fit.
- Toe rand wraps around to the medial side for extra protection when edging.
- Tongue and heel pull loops for easy on/off.
- Padded tongue and collar for added comfort and performance.
- 3 Arrow Shoc-Zone™ offers good underfoot protection on a variety of terrains.
- Heel/Toe Offset: 18mm/9mm.
Differential: 9mm. - Edging-Plate™ shank increases the medial stiffness of the midsole and provides a flat surface along the outsole for enhanced edging performance, while maintaining flexibility in the forefoot for smearing.
- Griproc outsole is especially designed to handle hardpacked, rocky, uneven terrain with ease. The heel is aggressively lugged allowing you the freedom to run to and from your climbing spot.

Pros: Comfortable, good for low-to-medium volume feet; laces can (with patience) be adjusted to allow toes to be looser or tighter; laces stay tied. Cons: rubber is not very sticky -- much less than five-tens. Soles are a bit soft, so it is hard to edge with toes.
Brands I'd also recommend: five-ten, Vasque

The back of their shoes are cleanly cut which allows your Achilles tendon to experience high levels of comfort and minimum restriction- particularly when running down hill.
