I bought these for my third grader's uniform shoe. Other years we have had velcro shoes but this year he felt too big for that and a lace shoe is a hassle. These have a very nice rubber sole and are good for recess. I think if you had a wide foot they might not be so comfortable, but they fit my son perfectly and the flexible sole is great and not too slippery.

I hadn't been able to find shoes like this anywhere. My grandsons had to have a wide width, the only place within a hour of my address is a specialty children's shoe store. They had nothing. I happened to bump into Zappos on a Wednesday night. The shoes were wonderful and fit beautifully and they arrived on Friday (a day and a half) after I ordered them and one day before the wedding! They got lots of compliments.

My seven year old son wears these frequently and never complains. They have a nice smooth interior, cushy insole and grippy sole. The leather is nice and smooth and they are well constructed and finished. A good value, considering that leather like boys' dress shoes go for a lot more!

I ordered these school shoes for my very wide-footed son. He has typically worn extra-wide black NB sneakers as "dress shoes" as no dress shoe would accommodate his wide foot. These loafers were snug to begin with but have stretched out to a very comfortable fit for him; an added plus is he doesn't have to tie sneakers in the morning!

I have purchased these shoes on three separate occasions. They are excellent for school and church. The flexible sole makes them comfortable immediately. My son doesn't even mind wearing them and it's all I can do to get him to wear anything but sneakers. I think these shoes are a little wider than medium width because my son has a wide foot but these still work in his normal size. I will continue to buy these for him as long as they make them in his size!
