WOW! Here I am just shy of 48 hours of ordering this pack and now I am writing a review. That is something that I rarely do! First of all online shoppers, order from Zappos whenever you can! Their service is above all others I have shopped. They have price matched for me, sent me "next order discounts," and upgraded shipping when I goofed and forgot to place my order on the "VIP Zappos" site. I just cannot say enough about their unparalleled service. To the pack: I was looking for a pack that would function more as a purse rather than a school bag and am I pleased! The main compartment holds my thick wallet/clutch, an 8"x5" or so cosmetic/misc bag, and a tall aluminum water bottle. The laptop sleeve will hold an 8½"x11" spiral notebook. Back padding is adequate (flat unlike Swiss Gear computer packs). Top handle is formed but soft and shoulder straps are the same. Side slash pockets will also fit my water bottle. I like how the zippers are upside down meaning that the zipper teeth are not visible from the outside. The zippers are not concealed/overlaped by the pack's material as many manufacturer's tend to do. This means the zippers work smoothly and effortlessly. That is a huge plus, as I can access a compartment using one hand if I have to rather than having to hold the pack with one hand and operate the zipper with the other! Top and bottom front pouches are nylon lined with the outer pack wall being somewhat padded. Double zipper pulls on main compartment and lower front compartment. Lower front pocket operates with two magnets, which is handy for quick storage. Outer bottom is faux leather, which looks great and helps the pack keep its shape (does not get droopy!). My pack's color positioning is different from the picture, but that's due to the nature of the pattern/material. I would have loved to see the bottom made from real leather like some of JanSport's packs. I am concerned that the faux leather will wear quickly as the pack is tossed about, placed on the floor, etc. Pack will not stand on its own, but at least it keeps its shape. The laptop sleeve is tight. I have a 15" Mac and it will not fit (I think the specs say it will fit up to 15"). The back straps are connected around the neck area with fabric (see site pictures), and I can see this causing some neck rubbing/irritation if carrying for awhile. For my needs, this backpack will be almost perfect. Be careful, though, if you are looking for a school bag as it will not hold a wide notebook, text books, and a laptop, etc.

I've had this backpack for some time now and I really like it. I agree with other reviewers that it would not be a great choice for school books and binders, but if you need a day bag that can carry all manner of smaller items (wallet, iPad, notebook, drink, sunglasses, phone, etc.), offer lots of convenient pockets and storage options and add some color to your ensemble, then this is the right bag for you. I rarely go out without getting a nice comment about it, but I love it because it keeps me organized. Definitely recommend.

I just love it! I got the black and white one and it only took three days until I got mine and it was a little small. Overall I love it and no one else has it. It is a very good bag. I have had mine for about two weeks and nothing is falling apart or anything. It is a good bag and I love it.

For a high school student (as myself) this backpack,is absolutely horrible. It provides no space at all. I can't even put in a binder inside it, and I have 6 binders i need to carry around. Although stylish, this is not a backpack I would recommend for school unless you're in elementary school, its that bad. When you store your stuff inside there is barely any space at all for a water bottle on the side pockets. Correction: There is NO space for any water bottle. I put my pens in there because it's the only thing that fits. I don't recommend this backpack at all for school, unless you're in elementary and don't carry around a water bottle. Other than that, it's okay for small travels.
