Ridiculously comfortable. Doesn't chafe. The drawstring comes with rubber on one side so that it won't come undone like most board shorts do.

I bought them specifically for surfing. The reasons I like them are; they have stretch and flexibility, They do not have an inseam on the inside of your leg(most inexpensive board shorts have a seam) no inseam means no rash from the seam rubbing when they are wet. I got them one size smaller than i usually wear so they wont get ripped off in the surf. My normal size would have been fine if i was just hanging out on the beach or swimming.

Great shorts, love the extra attention to detail they put into making them. Make sure to get the exact size you need and not too big, they don't shrink at all and need to be pretty snug to stay on while swimming!

This is the first pair of Hurley Phantoms I ever purchased and I am so glad that I did. They are extremely comfortable and dry quickly. The rubber on the one side of the lace is a smart idea so the lace does not come undone. They are very lightweight and I purchased another pair after wearing these. They are true to size so don't think you need to order a size up or a size down. Buy them, you will love 'em!

These new edition Phantom 60 boardshorts are slightly larger than the old edition. I bought a new pair of 32s expecting they would be the same as my "Spring '09'', but they differ slightly. Performance wise the boardshorts are perfect. I am an ocean lifeguard and wear these almost every day. I love them.

The fabric has good elasticity and dries quickly. Wouldn't recommend it though. I'm having a big problem with the unusual fly. There is a fold of fabric in the fly which does not allow it to fully open. No velcro to hold the fly closed so when sitting, it sometimes folds open. Thank god for the fabric insert or I would be flashing people. Otherwise, a good fit...true to size.

I'm wearing these right now and have bought a total of five pairs. They are very durable and I use them for CrossFit and running. Their stretch is comfortable, the pocket unobtrusive enough to hold an ID and cash for long runs and they're very comfortable over the course of a full 12 hour day of coaching. I highly recommend these to CrossFitters and runners who want more coverage.

These trunks are electric. Great neon coloring. You will be spotted a mile away. Comfortable, quick-drying, and easy to move in as well. Get the right size and you can't go wrong.

I am a beach lifeguard in FL, so I spend a lot of time in my boardshorts. I was hesitant to purchase these as the fabric is quite thin and I was doubtful of their longevity, but read a positive review from another beach LG so decided to give 'em a try. After about a month of use, my fears of the fabric's integrity were needless - although stretchy, they are quite durable. Time will tell how fade-resistant they are. My other go-to shorts (Quiksilver Manic) had to be replaced about every 6-9 months due to severe fading. These Hurleys are incredibly cool and comfortable and dry quickly. You really do hardly notice you are wearing them, especially when running or swimming. I love to train in these! One word of advice, you might want to order on the small side of what you normally wear as these have a lot of give. I normally wear 32 and that is what I ordered in these, but I think I could easily and comfortably wear 31.
