I was so excited to receive these boots. I love the Hunter Originals but I have athletic calves and I was not able to keep them. The Huntress does not have the tall stylish effect of the Originals, plus the ankle area has way too much room. As soon as I tried these Watlings on I was in love. They fit over my jeans and I can even fit my tall thick ski socks in them. Like my husband said when he saw them, "Wow those are some stylish rain boots." I purchased them in the green.

I purchased these in the white because they looked really cool but they were so much wider by the calves. They were huge. I ordered my usual Hunter size for hunter and I have thin legs and the High gloss hunter boots I have are more narrow and fit better. So I had to return these.

These boots look incredible! As others have said, they are wide around the calf. I have very small calves, and what I did was use the laces to cinch them and wrap the excess laces around the top of the boot. Stuff in jeans, and problem solved! Wear some warm socks though because these boots have no insulation. I got the black and they are sharp. Order one size down as they say. Otherwise, these are great. I have received many compliments!

The are the bees knees in cool city boots! I have tried almost every style of Hunters on this week and these were the most impressive and my favorite. I have a large calf 14.5 and with the fleece liner I could probably get my jeans in, but I went with the more practical for my needs original short gloss, I needed the liner and wanted the Hunter Boyne so I used all my winter boot piggy bank money up and I will have to wait on these till next years boot fund is rebuilt. Killer extreme city boots. I am a size 8 and went with the medium liner, fit snugger.

Love them! They run big. I also ordered the Ugg footbeds to make them cozy! The lace up makes them adjustable around the calf and so thick or thin, these will fit. Awesome!

Simply the best rainboot available! I get numerous compliments on these boots everytime I wear them. Love! I originally ordered the UK size 4, but had to return for UK size 3. I wear a 6.5 normally, but the UK 4 was definitely too big.

These shoes are fantastic! Whenever I wear them I get lots of compliments. They are very comfortable, relatively lightweight, and, best of all, the are atypical, but look great! They fit the calf very well on someone with both a large and small calf!

Extremely satisfied with this purchase. I was looking to invest in one pair of high-quality rain boots, but found the classic Hunter boots to be too plain. My style is fairly boyish, and I could never bring myself to wear a pair of patterned or brightly-colored rubber boots, so I was looking for something with just a few unique touches. Definitely thrilled when Hunter started selling this style. The fit is definitely large, as all reviewers have indicated. I wear a size 7.5-8 normally, opted for size 7's Watlings, which fit perfectly. They are very comfortable (or at least, as comfortable as wrapping one's lower legs in non-porous rubber can be), and definitely do the job of keeping out the water. There isn't much arch support, which surprisingly hasn't been a problem for me yet. In sum -- I still wouldn't go so far as to call any pair of rain boots "fashionable" per se, but these are definitely some of the best of the bunch in my opinion. They are a great pair of no-frills boots, with just the slightest hint of frill. Utilitarian with a touch of bad-ass.

I bought these as a birthday gift for my girlfriend and boy I must tell you she loved them. Her face? Christmas tree, in other words she lit up and could not stop smiling. Felt like I had given a 7 year old a present they really wanted for Christmas. Plus not to mention Zappos upgraded me to a free over night shipping. Love the boots but they run small. Many reviews I read said they were big so I ordered my size and one size down. I had to return both and go up a size. I am normally a 9.5 Womens but went with a 10 womens. I have already waded through a creek and spent a lot of time in the mud - my feet stayed dry with style!

Absolutely fantastic. I feel bad that I bought these to take the dog out in, but they soon have gone everywhere with me, and they look fantastic, fit great and are well made. Great job Hunter!

Seems to be a lot of controversy over whether these run big or small. For me they run big. I normally wear 10.5 or 11 (Euro 41-42); my feet were swimming in the 11. Size 10 fit fine with still plenty of room for extra insoles (necessary both for added support and to help take up the extra width, for me) and thick socks. Although they tell you to ignore the Euro size on the box/boot, I noticed the US size 11 was labeled Euro 43 (usually 11 equals 42), and I think the Euro size was more accurate in this case. I gave a 4 on comfort only because of the low level of support, but this is easily correctable with insoles. Super cute! Bought the green, love it.

I love these boots. I wanted a different pair of rainboots that had a bit of character than the usual Hunter boots. I got these in green and they're perfect. I'm a true 10.5 but range between a 10 and 11. I got these in a 10 and there's still plenty of room for me. Comfortable enough to wear all day and they keep my feet dry. They're a little bit heavy but you don't really notice it until you take off the boots. There's not really a lot of arch support but they are rainboots after all so I'm not complaining. Perfect!

I love these boots. I have very skinny legs, and these are the only rain boots that I have found that fit. I receive complements every time I wear these boots. They also run big. I found that I need to go down a size for the boots to fit properly.

As a dog walker, in the land of rain, also known as Portland, Oregon, I need good, comfortable, waterproof rain gear. I have tried several "waterproof" boots in the past (looking at you, Columbia). Finally, I tried the Hunter brand. The Queen likes it, so why not? Well, they are great! Good and waterproof. They do run large as people have said. I am an 11 in Born and I ordered the 10 in Hunter. Perfect fit. Do get a size smaller than you normally would. They need insoles, which is not a problem for me. Thank you, Dr. Scholl’s. They work all day. They are super-cute! They work with jeans. They work with Gor-Tex pants. They work. I am happy. Love them, and so do the dogs.

These boots are very stylish, and I get a lot of compliments whenever I wear them. But the rubber has a strong smell, and it will take a while to air it out.

These boots are nice looking. I have received a compliment while wearing them. Just to note: they are quite tall boots. After a day of walking in them, my calf muscles were a bit sore, but I suppose these boots are helping me to strengthen them! Overall, a good buy.
