Wearing these chukkas is like walking on a cloud. Right out of the box they feel comfortable and familiar. Every stitch is tight and the suede is finished with a deep face. Great value for the money.

English sensibility and Italian style -- what could be better? These shoes are a classic design equally at home with tweed or denim. And the waterproof suede is genius, so you can wear them even in inclement weather. Best shoe purchase I’ve made in a while.

The Twickenham is a very well-crafted traditional Chukka boot. the wide ankle slides on easily but does not feel loose while you're wearing it. The profile of the shoe is slim but still substantial. The quality of the suede is very good, though I haven't had to test its supposed water resistance yet. These are lightweight, and keep this in mind: it doesn't feel like you're wearing boots. The sole is fairly thin like my canvas sneakers. That could be a positive feature or a drawback, depending on what you're expecting. I think the value for these is good, as they are made in Italy, but I wouldn't pay MORE for them. Overall, they are very stylish, lightweight, functional boots that should last a long time.

These boots are literally a gift from God. I feel as if God breathed life into these boots. Of course, I got mine brand new for 35 dollars from the Nordstrom Rack.. But, if you have 200 to spend. I would get them. If not, I would look for some J Crew or Clarks. Pretty similar, just not as comfortable.
Brands I'd also recommend: Clarks, JCrew

About Hunter
If you want a place where people appreciate the benefits of a well-fitting, waterproof boot, Scotland seems a natural choice. Mr. Henry Lee Norris most certainly thought so when he set up shop with his master boot makers back in 1856. Originally, Hunter rain boots were designed for traversing Scotland’s rugged terrain and combating its unpredictable weather. Since then, the reputation of Hunter men's rain boots, Hunter women's rain boots and Hunter children's rain boots for performance, durability and outstanding comfort has become legendary worldwide.
Although their links to the present day cover over 150 years and an awful lot of advancement, there are things about a pair of Hunter rain boots that Henry would still recognize: the care, the craftsmanship, and the refusal to compromise on quality.
The first of the famous Hunter green Wellingtons were seen back in 1956. Ever since, they’ve been mastering the art of welly making for children and adults, by using the best of new materials, introducing revolutionary technology and replying on good old fashioned hand craftsmanship. What sets Hunter rain boots apart from the competition lies in part to a closely guarded secret process. The result is a much stronger, watertight boot that will perform under the toughest conditions.
Hunter is equally proud of the things that have changed and the things that stay the same. The weather's just as wet and the Hunter rain boots are just as good! Today, Hunter remains the preferred welly brand for men, women and children who like to work hard and play hard. Wherever your pursuits may lie, be they in a distant wooded field or amidst the bustle of city streets, Hunter has the perfect footwear for keeping up with your unique lifestyle.

Bought these for my husband because he needed a casual shoe for weekend wear with jeans or chinos. He usually wears a 10-1/2, so I ordered the 10 since Hunter tends to run a bit big in my experience with the boots. The 10 fit perfectly and he found them comfortable right out of the box and has worn them many times. They look great and should be good in bad weather since they have a sturdy sole. Nice shoe and our teenage kids even approve -- definitely an improvement over boring loafers.

These shoes are everything I needed and more. Extremely comfortable! I bought a size down after reading the reviews. Street shoe 8 1/2 and bought an 8. Am extremely happy with this purchase.
