I have purchased several short socks for my hunter wells and none if them seem to fit the short boot well. I wish I would have gone with the regular boots, bc there are more socks to choke from.

I bought these for my Hunter Short in chocolate brown. These socks provide good warmth without being thick. They got a little higher than I thought they would, but it provides excellent coverage to keep from the rubber rim of the boot rubbing against the back of your leg. I dinged it a star mainly for two reasons: First, for the price, I expected something a bit better. I thought they'd be thicker or warmer, or just something more for the price I paid. Also, because it's on the thinner side, after only a couple of wears with my Hunter boot, the part where the rubber would be rubbing my leg raw is rubbing this sock raw. It's already starting to get frayed and it's only been two uses. I don't expect it to hold up through the winter. For the price, you could buy warmer sturdier socks somewhere else.
Brands I'd also recommend: Northface, Columbia, Keen

These are better with regular knee high boots and not with the Hunter Rain boots (get the Welly's for these). I bought the socks when I was living in Vancouver, BC because all you can wear every day is boots during the winter. I love these with jeggings and black boots. The stripes peeking out of the boots is cute. I've had these for 2 years and they are still in great shape. Wish there was a better variety of color combos other than crazy rainbow stripes because I want more of them.
