I was waiting to order the Hunter short until they made a shorter Welly sock, and I wasn't disappointed. These fit great into the boot and keep my feet nice and warm in the snow. I absolutely recommend them!

Finally! The welly sock for the short boot...still not sure why it took so long for Hunter to develop these. Anywho, perfect fit, great to wear in the winter. The large fits great in my size 8 boots.

I bought this sock when it started snowing and I realized I couldn't find my real heavy-duty snow boots. Coming from upstate NY, I know better than to run around in the snow in anything less than totally waterproof, so my trusty Hunter boots were my next best option. I overnighted these socks hoping they would make my boots waterproof and warm - and they did! I've been wearing them through a month of endless snow and freezing rain and ice and my feet have never once been uncomfortable or cold or wet. I'm considering buying another pair!

These fleece liners are warm and a stylish addition to your hunter boots. Make sure you order the correct size, otherwise you will have a lot of extra fleece to stuff into those boots.

So happy with this purchase. When I bought my Hunter boots, I couldn't have known that I would be wearing them nearly daily. The socks keep my feet toasty and were a fabulous accessory to have on my feet when I beached my car in a snow plow wake yesterday. I have not had trouble folding them over the top of my boots. I wish they came in black to be a little less obvious when clomping into the office.

I bought the gold socks to go with my green wellies (love!) - great, fun color combo. The first pair had a defective hem at the fold over so I called CS and got another pair pronto. My rep told me to keep the first pair as they wouldn't do anything with the defective pair - this is a trusting group! The second pair had the same defect so I called again and the rep had the warehouse check the next pair before sending them to me (I returned the second pair). Third time was the charm. The socks are a bit bulky so I find it most comfortable to wear them with a thin pair of running socks. Also, it's easy to push your jeans into the boots with these socks - not too tight. Again, Zappos gets an A+ for customer service. I recommend calling before ordering to see if the manufacturer has corrected the defect. Calling is fast and efficient and the reps I've dealt with have a great sense of humor; always appreciated.

I was so excited to finally get welly short socks, but unfortunately they will be returned. As a previous customer said, the sock does not fit over the opening of the boot. I am very disappointed. Do not buy these socks.

They are warm and comfy but not with the boot. Since they are a bit oversized they make a sloppy fit.

The Short Welly Socks are very warm and easy to insert in the Hunter boots. I am very glad I purchased them as they keep my feet warm on the rainy days of spring.

I was very dissatisfied with the Short Welly socks. While they were the correct height for short Hunter boot, they totally slip around and didn't work. I wear a 9.5 in women's shoes, so the 9.0 Hunter boots fit well. However, with the Welly sock they are too small. I returned them.

Welly socks are needed with Hunter boots and did not know that. They run so large but kept the recommended size of L for a shoe size 8. The extra material inside could be bothersome but I got used to it.

Great for the cold weather. They make the boots very warm (almost too warm sometimes!). The size guide was right on for my size 8 boots. The color is a bit strange, not a true grey, but looks fine with my red boots. I machine-washed and tumble dried them with no problem or shrinkage.

The color of this Welly sock is more of a taupe and it's really not charcoal at all. Love the sock though. I'll keep the black pair as they blend into the black Welly.

The cuffs do not stay at the top when I walk with the Hunter boots, it rides down. The socks themselves are warm; however, after a couple of hours, my feet start to hurt from the seams as they are very thick. Overall I like the style and the idea, but because they don't stay up and are uncomfortable after only a couple hours, I do not recommend this product. The Hunter boots are awesome though... paired with some other socks.

I bought the Hunter Short Welly Socks in black in a size large to complement my Hunter Short Graphite boots, size 10 (42). Unfortunately, even though the size was perfect, I immediately noticed that one of the socks folded over the top of the boot more comfortably than the other sock did. The reason -- the cuff on one sock was obviously shorter than the other. The sock with the shorter cuff didn't cover the boot buckle. Therefore, due to the defect, I have to return the socks.

I'm a size 7 and I ordered a small -- a bit on the big side. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do.
