These boots are every bit as fierce as they look in the picture. Finally, a sexy rain boot! They seem to be sized as marked. The heel is stable, I could run in them if I have too. My only concern is how will the laces and grommets hold up to wear?

I love the look but they're way too heavier than I expected. I don't think they're comfortable to walk on also...so I'm returning them.

Sizing is way off. I wear a 7.5, bought a 7 and 8 to compare. Had to send both back, I'm 5'2, 122pounds, fat feet. The 7 fit length wise but was way too tight and I doubt would be comfortable to walk in. The 8 was way too loose, I was clunking around, boots felt heavy and they came up too close to the middle of my knees...arggg, finally a kick ass sexy rainboot and they suck in reality.

I wanted a pair of dark brown high-heeled rubber boots that I could wear to church on rainy Sundays, and these fit the bill. My husband likes them too, and that's the final test. The quality seems excellent, and they seem durable and sturdy. I have a high arch and they're a little tight getting on and off, but just right once on. There are many pull-on boots that I can't even get my foot into. They're well worth the money!

Ridiculously high heel. This boot should have been a few inches shorter. Impossible to get on let alone to walk in. Please... make these on a lower heel next time!

About Hunter
If you want a place where people appreciate the benefits of a well-fitting, waterproof boot, Scotland seems a natural choice. Mr. Henry Lee Norris most certainly thought so when he set up shop with his master boot makers back in 1856. Originally, Hunter rain boots were designed for traversing Scotland’s rugged terrain and combating its unpredictable weather. Since then, the reputation of Hunter men's rain boots, Hunter women's rain boots and Hunter children's rain boots for performance, durability and outstanding comfort has become legendary worldwide.
Although their links to the present day cover over 150 years and an awful lot of advancement, there are things about a pair of Hunter rain boots that Henry would still recognize: the care, the craftsmanship, and the refusal to compromise on quality.
The first of the famous Hunter green Wellingtons were seen back in 1956. Ever since, they’ve been mastering the art of welly making for children and adults, by using the best of new materials, introducing revolutionary technology and replying on good old fashioned hand craftsmanship. What sets Hunter rain boots apart from the competition lies in part to a closely guarded secret process. The result is a much stronger, watertight boot that will perform under the toughest conditions.
Hunter is equally proud of the things that have changed and the things that stay the same. The weather's just as wet and the Hunter rain boots are just as good! Today, Hunter remains the preferred welly brand for men, women and children who like to work hard and play hard. Wherever your pursuits may lie, be they in a distant wooded field or amidst the bustle of city streets, Hunter has the perfect footwear for keeping up with your unique lifestyle.

When I pulled these out of the box, they looked so extreme in style that I vowed to return them pronto without even trying them on. Then I did try them on, with skinny jeans--and they looked fabulous. I won't be able to wear them on business occasions, but they're irresistible as casual rainy-day wear. They feel, however, a shade heavy and clunky, although that's not a deal-breaker.

I read the other reviews before purchasing this boot. This boot is very comfortable and it is not heavy as one reviewer mentioned. The black boot rocks and the sole of the shoe is a dark blue as well as the line that runs behind it but it looks fabulous even though. The shoe does tend to show a white/gray color to it due to the natural rubber of it as explained in the care instructions for cleaning. I did in fact clean both shoes before wearing them and this color appeared later on in the day again, but no worries, the boot still manages to look great even though. This boot is very fashionable and holds itself regardless. I am thinking of purchasing another color of it in the near future. I usually don't like when shoes run on a whole size because I wear a 7.5. I bought it in an 8 and it's roomy but fits well.

I love these shoes. They do run a little big. I wear a 9, I would definitely get an 8½ just so they could be a little snug.

These shoes are pretty amazing but much taller than I assumed that they would be, nonetheless they are extremely comfortable and durable. I can't wear them without at least receiving a compliment or 3. Highly recommended if you can get over the heel height.

These are super cool and super comfortable. I can walk miles in them. My only complaint is that the rubber turns white. To be fair, Hunter does give a disclaimer that this happens; however, I can't seem to find the cleaner they recommend to fix it. Hopefully Zappos will carry it sometime.

I just got these a couple of weeks ago and they look just as good in person online as they do in person! I'm obsessed with them and for the first time find myself wishing for more rainy days LOL! I can fit between a 7 and 8 and the 7 fits perfectly.

These are great looking boots - in fact no one will even know they're rain boots unless you tell them. They are heavy but that was not a problem for me. The only problems I had with these are they are very tight across the top of my foot and rubbed on the same spot on the bone on top of my foot. Not sure how whether they can be stretched but if not they would be unwearable for me for more than 30 minutes. They also need to be shined (can use silicone).

These boots are a stylish alternative to typical rain boots. They are a bit heavy and clunky feeling and I had to take them off to drive because I had a hard time feeling the pedals through the thick soles. They aren't great for walking long distances because they feel kind of stiff and make my ankles hurt a bit. That being said, they are comfortable on my feet and feel great for standing or walking shorter distances. They are cute and look good over skinny jeans or under wider leg pants. They even work for professional occasions under wider leg pants. Personally, I don't think they are worth full price because I probably won't wear them that often, but I got them for a discount so I'll keep them. They do run large. I normally wear an 8.5-9 and the 8 is comfortable with plenty of room in the toe area.

I'm 5' tall with relatively short legs and the size 6 comes right up under my knees. These might be too tall for some, especially those who take a larger shoe size relative to their height. Broke these in during a full day walking around DC in the rain, including steep muddy hills. By hour 14 or so my feet were definitely protesting the rough treatment, but no more so than with any other shoe. In fact, I'm pretty sure the ankle support saved my bacon a few times. No blisters or raw spots, no nasty surprises from interior seams. These are great, thoughtfully-designed boots. If you're not used to heels this height, expect some discomfort. If you're not used to sturdy, utilitarian footwear, expect to be surprised by the heft. But if you expect your shoes to work hard and look great doing it, you're not going to be disappointed.
