This boot is a good option for ladies with larger calves who can't wear the regular tall Hunter boots. The sole on the bottom is really rugged and stabilizing. I also like the playfulness of the purple color, even though it's a bit much, depending on your outfit. Overall, it's a well-made boot and would probably do well in the snow.

I love these boots. I just got them today (in black), just in time for the snow storm headed our way in New York City. They feel true to size and look super cute on my feet. The only thing is that you will need thick socks to keep your feet warm.

I love these Hunter boots. It's true - if you have a bigger calf than the general population, you too can enjoy Hunter boots! Regular Hunter boots pinch my ankles when I slip them on because my calves are slightly bigger. These boots look super cute when on, and keep your feet nice and dry despite the puddles of melted snow in NY.

About Hunter
If you want a place where people appreciate the benefits of a well-fitting, waterproof boot, Scotland seems a natural choice. Mr. Henry Lee Norris most certainly thought so when he set up shop with his master boot makers back in 1856. Originally, Hunter rain boots were designed for traversing Scotland’s rugged terrain and combating its unpredictable weather. Since then, the reputation of Hunter men's rain boots, Hunter women's rain boots and Hunter children's rain boots for performance, durability and outstanding comfort has become legendary worldwide.
Although their links to the present day cover over 150 years and an awful lot of advancement, there are things about a pair of Hunter rain boots that Henry would still recognize: the care, the craftsmanship, and the refusal to compromise on quality.
The first of the famous Hunter green Wellingtons were seen back in 1956. Ever since, they’ve been mastering the art of welly making for children and adults, by using the best of new materials, introducing revolutionary technology and replying on good old fashioned hand craftsmanship. What sets Hunter rain boots apart from the competition lies in part to a closely guarded secret process. The result is a much stronger, watertight boot that will perform under the toughest conditions.
Hunter is equally proud of the things that have changed and the things that stay the same. The weather's just as wet and the Hunter rain boots are just as good! Today, Hunter remains the preferred welly brand for men, women and children who like to work hard and play hard. Wherever your pursuits may lie, be they in a distant wooded field or amidst the bustle of city streets, Hunter has the perfect footwear for keeping up with your unique lifestyle.

I love this boot. It looks awesome and is really comfortable. Size wise is length fits true to size but it is a wide rain boot, so I do have to wear hiking socks with it and I put a Dr. Scholl's inner sole to add a little more cushion and its perfect! Cozy, cute and comfortable.

Extremely cute shoe and I really wished I could pull them off. However, I returned them because something about the height and proportion of the boot did not work for my build.

Really like the style and look of this rain boot. A bit different that everyone else's classic rain boot. Does fit a bit big, but okay with a warm sock.

These shoes were really cute and comfortable, but after wearing them only once, one of the eyelets popped out while lacing them up. I definitely expected better quality from Hunter. The good news is that Zappos has awesome customer service and was more than happy to exchange them for a different pair of Hunter boots - without laces! I was very disappointed with these boots, but really pleased with Zappos.

I was a bit put off by the price of these puts but am so glad I ordered them! They are much lighter weight than the full-length Hunter boots and not as hot since they are much shorter. I can hardly wear the full-length ones since they are so hot. They are also super-cute - the green color is great. They don't offer any support (which is why I gave these four stars overall) and like any rubber boot, they get a little hot, but are great for getting around on a rainy day and can be carried in a tote without too much hassle (unlike the full-length Hunters).

These boots run a little wide. Got an insole from Champs Sports & it's much better. Wearing thicker socks is good, too. Very warm. Bought them for trip to Scotland. Haven't used them there yet, but I have confidence they'll be comfortable, warm, and dry.

I love these, but potential buyers should beware that the boot does not breathe at all. Wearing them all day your feet do get a bit sweaty. Best for outdoor activities.

So cute! I love these boots. I've worn them in the city on rainy days, and have also used them for their true use--out working in the garden and in a horse barn! Great for both things! They are bigger than the size written, I got a size 9 (usually wear a 9 or often a 9 1/2) and they're perfect with thick socks!

I brought these boots for my daughter. She loves them they are stylish, functional and comfortable. They are a little expensive but I do think they are worth the price. Hunter boots are the best rain boots and Zappos provides their usual great service fast and free shipping.

These are definitely rain boots styled to look like walking boots. The fit is similar to pull-on galoshes - there is no foot support, they are wiggly in the ankles and big in the toe box. I cannot seem to find a waterproof walking shoe or boot that does not look like I should be skiing or walking on the moon. This is fine, if you are not going to be walking in them all day or hiking. Otherwise, an orthotic or other cushion is going to be necessary.

I bought these boots and had to send them back. I had bought one pair of Hunter boots before and felt that the quality was not great but they were so cute I just had to have them. One of the wrap around eyelets immediately popped off but I did not send them back. When these boots arrived I could not believe that they seemed to be of an even thinner rubber than my other ones. They are incredibly cute and comfy but they seem to be no better quality than the $16 ones from Target (that we do all love...for the price).

So far, these are great. I bought them for use in the winter, as I already own a pair of tall Hunter Wellies. However, they aren't the least bit warm and need to be paired with wool socks. I haven't had any issues with the boots falling apart, but that's probably because I don't have to untie them to put them on. So far, so good!
