- Rubber sole with heavy textural details for sure footing.
- The brand advises that a white wax film may appear on the surface of the rubber boots and that it can be wiped off with a damp cloth. This "blooming" effect is not a defect. Blooming is caused when the boots are exposed to extreme temperatures or temperature swings and the wax helps prevent the rubber from weathering.

Love the boots. I have the long ones from Hunter, but because my legs are not that skinny...they can be uncomfortable so I decided to get short ones. And because Hunter boots run smaller in size, I decided to give men's boots a try. I normally wear 6 1/2. 7 in men's size feel a little big, but leaves room for thicker socks so it worked out great for me.

I'd read somewhere else that they run big and I should buy a size smaller than normal. I wear an 8.5 - 9 depending on the brand, so I bought a size 8. Well, they were too small. The tip of my toe rubbed up against the front of the boot. Returned for a size 9 and they're perfect. Slightly big, but they're rain boots so I'm not expecting a perfect fit.
