I love gray, so I love the color of this mat. I've been using it for about a month now, and the rubbery smell is finally starting to ease up. It's very thick and cushioned. I've used it in hot yoga and I'd recommend you get some kind of towel to put over it if you'll be using this for hot yoga too. Keep in mind, because it's thick, it is a little heavier than a usual mat, but I like that it's made from recycled materials.

I loved that the mat is made of recycled materials and know I paid extra for that. I can deal with the heavier weight but the smell! I cannot get rid of the rubbery, tire smell! I have washed it repeatedly, hung it inside, hung it outside. I got it in January and haven't even used it yet because I don't want to offend anyone in class. Can anyone offer me some guidance? What did you wash it with?
