Toni had been creating unique accessories for years as the co-founder of Georgetown Leather Design in Washington, DC., the 'in' place for the hippie crowd to buy cool leather goods during the 60's and 70's. In those days, the bags were made by hand in the basement of the shop. Toni's handcrafted leather goods were soon recognized as being fashionable and hip. Every piece had her signature style.
Then in 1991, she cashed in her life-savings, bought a beat-up van and convinced her daughter and future son-in-law, Koren and David, to head to New York to sell the first 'Hobo' collection.
Her philosophy for Hobo; women's accessories should be both stylish and practical. Toni believed that quality and 'cool' never go out of style. Her passion for creative design and purposeful details became a way of life at Hobo.
This philosophy resonated with women everywhere who were looking for fun, functional accessories to express their individual style. Over the years, Hobo's handbags and small leather goods have earned a loyal following for their practical features, iconic shapes and affordable pricing. WWD has called Hobo one of the country’s most "fun and funky" accessories brands.
In 2006, Toni turned over the brand to Koren and David Brewer, her family and business partners for those fifteen years. The second-generation Hobos follow the founding principles of fashion and function and still infuse the same passion and creativity into their vision for this ever-expanding lifestyle brand. Koren and her design team stay true to Toni's early philosophies, while exploring new and innovative ways to meet the needs of today's busy, fashion-savvy woman. As an added plus, Koren and David are thrilled to have Toni living two doors down to serve up handbag wisdom and help out with the couple's four kids.
Twenty years later, the Hobo brand has come a long way from handbags designed on the dining room table to a multi-million dollar accessory business. In March of 2012, Hobo opened its first flagship store in downtown Annapolis, MD, showing support and loyalty to its hometown and local community. The true heritage spirit of crafting fashionable, smart accessories in quality materials remains the driving philosophy of the company today.

I love my new Hobo Intl (Robin) wallet! I got it in Mogano Vintage Leather which is a great brown color. This wallet is smaller than I normally buy, but it holds exactly what I really need to carry. The large change purse works for me and the billfold fits US dollars fine (a few reviews say that the fit is tight - there is nothing to fret about here). Overall, this wallet is a pleasure and I highly recommend it!

After a few months of use, one of the kiss lock clips on the coin compartment broke off. A few days later, I had lunch with one of my friends, who happened to have the same wallet, only it was brown. Hers too had a broken kiss lock clip. Disappointing, especially after paying so much for it!

I really like the quality of this wallet! It's well made and the design allows me to keep things organized. The clasp on the coin section is really strong--no chance of coins slipping out. I love the feel of the leather, too! Tempted to buy a second now in case it's no longer available when this one wears out!

These are the warmest boots ever. Never wear socks with them, as that is not the proper way to use shearling. Really. My only complaint with this boot is that the toe box does not wear well. The leather has faded and there are now ridge-like depressions on top of the boot. But I don't really care, I bought them to stay warm, you can’t tuck pants into them, and the 11 inch shaft isn't tall enough to be worn like that anyway. So in summation, this boot is not tall, it will wear quickly and wont be a classy boot but it will be yours forever (top notch craftsmanship) and your feet will be soo soo cozy. I really do recommend them.

I purchased this wallet in black. It is another quality Hobo product. I do wish the change purse were 1/4 taller so I could fit folded bills in it, but I knew this situation before I bought the wallet and it's fine. The leather is nice and has a vintage feel to me.
I'd also recommend: Fossil
