My daughter loves the boots. It has just enough of an "Ugg" look to be fashionable. I am hoping that they will be great in the snow too since they are listed as waterproof.

I loved these boots when I got them. They fit great and looked great. They kept my feet really warm and dry at first, but nearing the end of the winter they could just not hold off all the snow and slush. My feet got wet and thus cold. I don't know if it's because I didn't spray them enough or what, but it's not like I was walking through snowy trails in these boots. I was using them to walk to and from my car and classes and still the snow and slush was just too much and my feet got wet. I guess what I need is a boot with more rubber and less "waterproof" suede.

I absolutely love these boots! They are so comfy yet very sturdy and durable. I bought Uggs last year and they didn't hold up against the snow like these boots. I also don't have to worry about slipping all over the place like I had to with my Uggs, these shoes have great traction great for heavy snow and sleet. They aren't the most fashionable, but they are the most durable. Also I'd like to say wonderful service from Zappos! I cant wait to buy from them again! Buy your true size with these shoes because you want to wear big socks with enough room to wiggle your toes.

Warmest boot - I bought these boots to take on a trip to Colorado, I have a chronic disease and I get very cold all the time, especially if my feet are cold. I wore them in the snow at a ski resort and we walked for quite a while, all the time my feet were warm and comfortable. So I am very pleased with the boot…thank you. Also a very durable boot for whatever it is you are buying them for.

Fabulous Boots - Warm, Warm, Warm... these boots are warm and very comfortable. I bought them for shoveling snow, trekking back and forth to town and for knocking about on the ski slopes. The boots are very comfortable. Perfect fit. Highly recommend them.

The company’s original success grew from the breakthrough design and development of Hi-Tec's first ever shoe, THE HI-TEC SQUASH, specifically designed for the then fast growing game of squash. An industry benchmark then and now, few shoes in athletic footwear history have recorded unit sales of over 18 million pairs worldwide to date. Great, but had to return them - I loved these boots, but ended up having to return them. The cut of the heel gave me horrible blisters. I wear a size 9, but even the size 10 did the same thing to me, although my foot moved around a lot in the larger size. I really wanted these boots. They were incredibly warm and kept my feet dry. I live in Chicago and walk about 2 miles a day from taking mass transportation into the city. If I didn't walk as much I would have been okay - still looking for a boot that fits well in the heel...I'm definitely looking at ones on Zappos. I am so happy with their customer service.

Cute Boots! I was very happy when I got my boots. They were a lot cuter than what I anticipated--the pictures don't really do them justice. I was skeptical ordering boots online since I couldn't try them on, but they fit perfectly! I'm very pleased with my purchase overall. I'd recommend these boots to anyone.

Great Boot - I bought these because I was looking for a boot to definitely keep my feet dry, and after reading almost all the reviews, I gave them a shot. I've walked my dog about a dozen times now in knee-deep snow and slush, and I have not once gotten cold or wet feet. I bought a 7 but really could've used my normal size of 7.5. I got blisters on my heels the first time wearing them but that was all. You don't need thick socks to stay warm, so it could've been my socks. The laces are long but seem to be a stretchy nylon material and can easily be shortened. They look great and are lightweight. I'm glad I got them and thanks to everyone who took the time to review them!

Great boot, great service! I bought 2 pair of these boots, one for me and one for my 18 year old daughter. We both love the style, fit and comfort. Customer service was great and delivery was super speedy!

Hi-Tec Women’s St. Moritz review - Comfortable, not bulky, easy to walk in, keeps my feet warm and I wear my pants over but mostly tucked in the boot. Even though the snow is under control I wear them for warmth. I’m glad I ordered these boots.

Warmth, Quality and Comfort - What a nice winter boot! Sturdy, warm, and stylish whether you wear it in town or walking in the snow. Your feet stay dry and toasty. I wear these with jeans or even a long skirt. With the kind of winter we've been having in New England, these boots fit the bill for a good, all-purpose boot.

Good Chicago Boot - I bought these for my daughter who recently moved to Chicago and said her Uggs (which she had waterproofed) didn't keep her feet dry in the freezing cold slush. I bought these hoping they would do the trick and they did. She says they aren't the very cutest boot she's seen, but I know her, and she wouldn't wear them if she thought they were ugly. (She's 21.) She says she wears them all the time and they keep her feet completely dry and warm. She has no car, and has to walk quite a lot in this unfriendly Chicago weather to catch the various busses. Last week she called me while walking several miles to find a grocery store that she thought was near her bus line and said, "It sure is a good thing I'm wearing my new boots for this long walk. They are sooo comfortable, and I can walk through the slush without worrying about getting wet, cold feet." If you live in cold weather and want dry, warm, comfy feet, get these boots! I cannot say exactly how the sizing runs, but I got her size 9, which is usually what she wears, and no complaints.

Awesome warm and dry boot - I love these boots. I wear them everywhere and they keep my feet warm and dry. Good traction on snow and ice. Love the faux fur lining. The one item that I am not sure about is the draw string lace around the top of the boot- weird and makes tying the boots more of a challenge than it should be.

Awesome service, awesome product - I ordered the boots at 1 in the morning, regular shipping, and received them at 3 in the afternoon, just half a day later! It was like an unexpected Christmas gift. The boots themselves are great! Light, warm, and comfortable. Couldn't ask for better service or product!

Great snow and cold weather boot with style - Living in the Boston area, with kids, I needed a good boot with style for trudging through slush in parking lots, deep snow when shoveling the driveway, and climbing up and down sledding hills. I tried several different brands through Zappos - the other brand I debated was Patagonia. It was very comfortable with great support but only came to the ankle so I didn't think it would keep the deeper snow out as well. At home the Hi Tech didn't feel like it would give me quite the firm support of the Patagonia, but it was still very comfortable. I liked the mid-calf height, and the price so decided to keep it. After a true New England snow day today - I give this boot 5 stars. I shovelled snow that was up to my calves and played in the driveway for 1 1/2 hours in the morning, then was on a sledding hill with my 6 year old, climbing up and down, and standing for long periods of time, also for about 1 1/2 hours. After all that, my feet are not sore at all at day's end - so no worries about comfort or support. My feet stayed warm all that time - until the last 20 minutes or so of sledding at 3:00 p.m. when the whole day was getting cooler. (And that was with regular socks by the way.) So performance was great. No wetness inside at all after all that. And I like the style. The fur detail is nice since it comes down the front of the boot - you can still see it if you pull your pants over the boot. Some pants I tuck in, some I pull over - nice that the boot can do both. As other people said, two fastening methods don't add much - I just found the right lacing and slip boots on and off without adjusting.

This shoe runs a little bit large, so my heels do come out of the shoes when I walk. So, I made another set of hole to tie a little bit higher. Also, wearing thick socks also help. Another problem I noticed was that the folding leather part on top is a way too thick. As I have a high arch, the top part was a little painful, so I cut the folding line to rest the folded inside leather flat. It really helped me to ease the pain on top of my feet. I wish that I purchased a half size smaller one. Anyway, with thick socks on, the shoes feel comfortable and look very casual.

This boot works very well for outdoor winter activities of various types. From taking the trash out to romping in the snow, it keeps my feet warm, and is rather stylish.
