I have 2 girls, one with wide feet, particularly across the ball of the foot; the same one has a high instep. They both took the size one up from their normal shoe size, and both love their boots! They've taken us on several short weekly hikes since they came. Besides performing well, they add a certain "real hiker" feeling, which I think sometimes, keeps us going when we might otherwise turn back. The tongue is gusseted just to the ankle, the top part of the tongue is not gusseted, so water could leak in through that point. They are snug and padded, though, so if you're in that much water, you're already risking water over the top! The treads are well developed for hiking, so remove them at the front door to keep mud out of the house!

Good shoe for hiking including some climbing. These worked well and they were waterproof, comfortable and provided good traction. We did 28 day trip out west!

From the moment he tried these boots on, my son has been very pleased. He broke them in by wearing them to several Boy Scout troop meetings. Since breaking them in, he has worn them on several camp outs. His only complaint, is that the original laces were too short. This was easily reminded by purchasing longer laces. We would purchase again.

I'm normally a youth size 3, but I find that you have to buy half a size smaller for this brand. It is definitely waterproof, I've tested it out on the glaciers in Iceland. They are very light and great traction for the ice walk that I did. I would recommend this to any adventurer.

I bought these for my daughter to wear while hiking and they're fantastic. She wore them around to break them in a bit and never had any issues with rubbing at all. They are rugged and are wearing really well -- after a few hikes they still look great, seaming is solid, and they keep her feet warm, dry and supported. I'm very pleased with them (and she likes the pink!).

Very, very cute. Much cuter than the picture shows. Our 9 year old loves them. The pink details make it feminine, but definitively not princess feminine (which is un-cool for 9 year olds). The boots seem well-made, light, and comfortable. We are very happy with the purchase.
