I ordered these boots for my 9 year old son. He absolutely loves them. The size was great, comfortable and they are waterproof. The best part, we ordered them on a Saturday and received them on Monday. Zappos is great and no tax! and free shipping. Wow! Thanks.

These hiking boots are terrific! I love the fact they come in half sizes for a great fit. They are stylish yet very durable and my daughter loves how comfortable they are.

I bought these for my 11-year old son to wear primarily for Boy Scout activities. I bought them because they were billed as waterproof, and we treated them with additional waterproofing before first use. Their first test was a camp-out and five mile hike in the White Mountains, unfortunately during a period of 24 hour rain. The shoes soaked through, but they took about 8 hours to do so. To be fair, EVERYTHING soaked through on this day - GoreTex raingear, my husband's all-leather Vasque boots, etc - partially due to everything being wet, including performance clothing, which pulled the wetness into boots and under rain gear, so it's hard to be too hard on these boots alone. On a less rainy day or a shorter time out they would have kept his feet dry. My son finds them very comfortable with no break in time and thinks they look cool. Overall, a good performance boot for a reasonable price.

Good boot for the money, great for a growing kid, suitable for long day hikes and to wear in winter to school. For a child who will likely carry no more than a day pack or maybe 15 lbs. in a small internal frame, this boot is fine.

These shoes are great. I ordered them for my 6th grader who is going to Stokes Forest for 4 days with his school. The shoes fit perfect and wear comfortable like a sneaker, but are rugged for outdoor hiking.

My son loves his new sandals. They are comfortable, easy to slip on (very important to an active 9 year old boy) and have held up well to walking through streams, on rocks, and even biking.

This is the second year in a row I have bought Hi-Tec hiking boots for my boys. They are the best buy for your money that I have found. They are true to size, fit comfortably right from the start and do their job. What more can you ask?

I bought these for my 9-year-old daughter for a trip to Australia. She says they are very light and comfortable. She has worn them on many hikes now, including one of 12 km. Uphill, downhill, sandy, stony; no blisters or complaints. Looks like she will outgrow them before they wear out.

Bought these cute boots for my daughter and even though they are a size bigger than her regular size, it was totally impossible for her to get her feet down in the boots. Maybe if you have a bigger kid (my daughter is only 3 1/2) who are used to boots without zippers etc. they will be able to get into them. But really love the design and quality of the boot so it is with sadness that I have to return them.

We bought these boots for our 9 year old. So far they are fabulous in the woods and on the boulders around here, but the real test will come in a month when we go back hiking in New Hampshire. The quality of the boots is really good and so is how they feel on your feet, says our son. The price is also very good, so we think we got a winner.

Yes, he loves these shoes. We hiked up Cascade and Porter in the Adirondacks. Not one single blister or hotspot in that first wearing. So glad we found these boots. He needs a wider bed for the ball of his foot and these worked out great though not a specific wide shoe.

My daughter loves these boots. She wore them at camp for two weeks and said they were quite comfortable. We also hiked two Adirondack mountains with zero blisters and zero foot complaints. They are quite broken in now.

Our 9 year old son liked these so much for his Cub Scout campouts that we just came back and bought a pair for his younger brother. Definitely waterproof, good for creeking, good support when on uneven ground. I would not hesitate to buy more when these are outgrown.

I bought these for my 5 year-old. Normally she is very picky with the fit of a shoe, but these she loved from the first try and wore them all day without a single complaint. The boots are very well made, as stylish as a boot can be (little accents of pink make all the difference for a little girl), and look like they will last for a long time. They will definitely be handed down many times over.

Originally, I ordered these boots in a 4.5 for my son to wear to Boy Scout camp. His sneakers are 4.5. The boots were too tight. So, we ordered a full size larger, a 5.5, and they fit perfectly, with still a little room for growth. He says they’re really comfortable and they are definitely waterproof. Great boots! Would definitely recommend them.

Excellent "Treki" Shoe - My son loves to wear shoes that make him feel like he's ready to climb a mountain. These are VERY light weight, look cool, have good tread, super comfortable...and a good bargain. They seem to be a little roomy on the top of the shoe, but my son also has skinny feet...he didn't mind the extra space; he was in love with ‘em and wanted to keep them!

After wearing my Hi-Tec boots on a trip to Alaska last year I decided to get my daughter a pair of these for our upcoming Alaska trip. She normally wears a 4 or 5, but I returned the 5 and got her a six because they do run a little small. They are extremely well made, comfortable and (thankfully) so stylish that she loves them. She describes them as "bouncy" in that the sole is thick and makes walking comfortable. A great pick for kids in cold weather.

Great for little hikers - These were great for our kids (7 & 5) last year, including several all-day mountain trail hikes and a backpacking trip. Never a complaint about sore feet and the boots have stood up great. Looking for a bigger pair this year.

My son won't take them off!We purchased these boots for Boy Scout hiking adventures, but my son wears them everywhere. He says they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. They seem sturdy, only time will tell. They are a very good looking shoe. We bought a 1/2 size up as they felt snug but not off sized. It might just be the difference from athletic shoes to a boot.

Hi-Tec Kids Shoe - My son loved the shoes and loved the idea of buying shoes on the internet. They did cause some blisters at first, but he didn’t want to return them. He has since broken them in and wears them almost every day to school.

Very Smart Boots, especially in the snowy-cold - I had to order a second pair, one full size up, as my daughter could not even get the first pair on...However, once we got the second pair, we were golden. She can run through the snow in these boots--they are waterproof! They are warm! And they are the cutest fashion statement in the thick of winter! Overall, I am very pleased with these boots, and the price for such quality wasn't bad either...

Perfect for an Eleven Year Old - My 11yr old wanted a pair of boots like his Dad's and these were perfect. He was able to wear them all day the first day without any problems! I ordered these at 8:51pm at night and had them by 3:15pm the Next afternoon. Now that is service!

About Hi-Tec Kids

1974 marked the year when Hi-Tec Sports was founded in the village of Shoeburyness, in Essex, England. The company’s original success grew from the breakthrough design and development of HI-TEC’s first ever shoe, THE HI-TEC SQUASH. That shoe remains Britain’s all time best selling sports shoe model to this day. In 1982, the Hi-Tec brand name and logo were globally launched in the hopes of becoming a major worldwide sports brand.

Hi-Tec Kids’ outdoor footwear is rugged and durable enough to take your child safely into uncharted territories. High quality hiking shoes can last through the roughest trails. Lightweight sandals are secure and breathable, bringing the nature experience safely to your child. Many of Hi-Tec’s outdoor footwear feature moisture wicking properties to stay warm and dry, even when the surrounding environment is not. Some Hi-Tec products even have reinforcements to offer increased support.

Zappos is happy to offer the Hi-Tec brand. Let Hi-Tec take your children wherever they want to roam.
