We own few pair of Hi-Tecs and these ones are great as well. Per my son cool and comfortable and warm. What's better description? :)

True to size. Look a bit more like hikers but perform well as sneakers. Perfect for kids that don't want to tie shoes.

Very, very cute. Much cuter than the picture shows. Our 9 year old loves them. The pink details make it feminine, but definitively not princess feminine (which is un-cool for 9 year olds). The boots seem well-made, light, and comfortable. We are very happy with the purchase.

I bought these for my daughter to wear while hiking and they're fantastic. She wore them around to break them in a bit and never had any issues with rubbing at all. They are rugged and are wearing really well -- after a few hikes they still look great, seaming is solid, and they keep her feet warm, dry and supported. I'm very pleased with them (and she likes the pink!).

Great shoes! I was happy they come in a bigger sizes. My 11 year old said shoes are comfy and look cool.

My son enjoys this shoe. He thinks they look cool and they fit him comfortably. I purchased a size three which is 1 size too big for him, but had to remove the insole right away for the shoe to fit him comfortably. After doing that, he was good to go.

This is my first time I ordered from Zappos. I ordered this shoe in size 4 1/2 and 5. The box was marked 5 but the shoe was a 4 1/2 so I rec'd 2 sets of 4 1/2. Other than that the shoe is an excellent choice and luckily the 4 1/2 fit.

Excellent, he wore them around town a few times to break them with no issues. We went to camp; did 5 to 7 miles a day on rough and wet terrain with no problem. His feet stayed dry and comfortable (no redness or sores).

Warning: The "rose" isn't rose. It is pink. If your boy is one of the few real males left, then he will want something else.

Terrible. Awful quality. These came and I didn't even try them on my kid's feet. The glue was oozing out of all the seams and was visible. A terrible quality shoe. For a little more, you can get a really nice Timberland, Keen, or North Face boot.

I'm normally a youth size 3, but I find that you have to buy half a size smaller for this brand. It is definitely waterproof, I've tested it out on the glaciers in Iceland. They are very light and great traction for the ice walk that I did. I would recommend this to any adventurer.

Zappos rocks - shipping is just incredibly quick and customer service is awesome. This boot was for my daughter and she loves them. Great hiking and stomping boot.

I was not the wearer of this shoe, my 6 year old son was, so I am giving a second person review here. As his mom, I noticed lots of wet socks, so not as waterproof as we would have liked. We also had problems with the laces slipping off of the top hooks; almost as if they were positioned too far downward facing. I never heard complaints about fit or style, so I assume they were fine in that department. The laces slipping off the pegs was an issue for my kindergartner, who did not yet know how to tie his own shoes. He kept coming home with his shoe laces dragging.

When I got the shoes my husband like them. He said they look really great on my feet. I like the color, fits perfectly as Zappos shoes always do and are very comfortable and sturdy. I like this hiking boot because it is water resistant, very easy to lace and slip on. I am very happy with it especially the fast shipping in time for these snowy slushy weather. Can't wait for summer hiking too!

This shoe is very nice looking. I bought them for my 13-year old daughter (after her approval, of course) and she likes them. Which, as anyone who has a 13-year old girl knows, is enough said.

My son seems to really like this boot. It's comfortable and sturdy, and the best part is it's waterproof. I don't like lacing them up, but I wouldn't like lacing any boots up. It can be a hassle two or three times a day. Other than that, they're great.

Fantastic shoe for an active boy! It's rugged, durable, and stylish to boot (no pun intended!). Our son loves wearing them, so I'm assuming they're comfortable. So far, we've been very pleased!

I got these shoes for my son. He is 10 years old. I love all seasons hiking and always encourage my son to come with me. Before I got Hi-Tec Kids Renegade Trail shoes I heard a lot of complaints from my son about his legs getting very tired and hurting. I did not hear a single complaint on the 7 miles winter hike from my son when he wore these shoes and the most important thing is his feet were dry after walking on the wet muddy trail.
