Beautiful, comfortable, hot shoe - I ordered mine in the gold/bronze color and it is beautiful. Very comfortable and expensive looking. Fits great! I have a little wider foot (but not a true wide) and this shoe fits great b/c it is adjustable.

Wore for two days straight at work - I am a technical trainer and wanted a nice looking, dressy shoe to wear at work and while delivering training. I recently wore this shoe for two days straight and was on my feet almost the entire time. Not only is the shoe cute and modern, like most Helle Comfort, it is very comfortable. After years of suffering, I've decided to pay more for this quality shoe and am glad I did because this is the first shoe I can wear all day without my feet literally burning at the end of the day. I like this style so much that I've just purchased in another color. Highly recommended!

Two pairs of same shoe but one is vastly different! I already own this shoe in black and love it so much that I decided to purchase another pair in cognac. When the shoe arrived, I noticed immediately that the label on the footbed was different than my black pair (gold stick-on label rather than the name imprinted right on the leather like most Helle Comfort). To my surprise, when I tried them on, I could barely stand. The arch was so high that it cut into my foot. I compared the arch on my black pair (which is the same advertised style) with the new pair and was stunned to see that the arch on the new Cognac color was approx. 1/2 inch higher! It was almost like they were made by a different maker! Sadly, I had to return them despite loving the color/pattern (I would buy again if I could find a pair in the Cognac color that is the exact style as my black pair). This style is really cute for office or dress. I don't think there's any way around this issue except to order the shoes and see for yourself. Overall, I find this brand to be extremely comfortable and now own four pairs of Helle Comfort Shoes. Unfortunately, I'll have to look elsewhere for this style in the Cognac color.

Great looks and comfort, too. That's pretty much the Helle way, as fans of their shoes know. I like a little more coverage in my dressy sandals, and this fits the bill well. What's so important to me is that both straps are adjustable because my feet are sized like they belong to a different person. My left is bigger and wider than my right. I usually buy a half to a full size up and adjust the fit of the right shoe with pads. No need for that here. The heel height is not too high but gives a nice little lift. My feet don't slide forward the way they do in many sandals, partly because of the adjustability and also because of the suede insole. It's impossible for me to overstate how much comfort the suede insole adds to an open shoe like this. No squishy, sweaty feeling. I have had the black for awhile (purchased from a local B&M shoe store) and came here looking for the cognac. My shoes worked out OK, but I empathize with the previous reviewer's issue. Earlier versions of this brand say "Helle Comfort by Romu's" inside. More recent versions just say Helle Comfort. I'm not sure whether that means the shoes are now being made by a different company, but there are certainly differences that are at least cosmetic between the shoes that I have had for a couple of years and the ones pictured here. For instance, the heel on my black pair is black plastic, not chrome. So not only might your mileage vary, but your shoes might, too.

Best slide I have ever owned!!!!! I love this shoe!!! Not too high, super comfortable and absolutely BEAUTIFUL. There is actually a nice arch built into it; something I have never seen in a slide like this. Looks great with EVERYTHING! I will look at buying more Helle shoes in the future.

Love at first fit - Oh my gosh! I ordered these yesterday, got them today- talk about service - and talk about a 5 star shoe - it fits, feels and looks like nothing I have ever worn and I wear higher priced brands and comfort shoes all the time. Fantastic comfortable slide - Awesome slide -- I always have trouble keeping slides on my feet. These stay nice & secure. Great stylish look -- comfy footbed. Wore all day 1st day -- walked and walked. Nice to be able to adjust width on both straps. I am exactly between an 8 1/2 and 9 and the 40 fit perfectly (39 too small).

Fantastic Fit - Great shoe. Stylish and extremely comfortable. As a teacher, I'm on my feet all day, and often, by the end of the day, my lower back hurts even when I'm wearing "sensible" shoes. I've worn these shoes twice to work with no back or foot pain at the end of the day. Well worth the price!

Cute fancy shoe - This lovely sandal is really comfortable, surprise! I wore them all day right after they were delivered to my door. I could walk up and down 3 flights of stairs without them falling off my feet. I was really amazed how comfortable yet beautiful this style is. It goes with everything. Stylish, a little sexy and incredibly comfortable - Wasn't sure about these at first because the antrazyt color is hard to see in the photos, but then I tried them on. Comfortable and supportive right out of the box and, as one reviewer already noted, stay on my feet when walking up and down stairs; they don't slide and clunk when walking downstairs like most slides. Antrazyt is a great color – goes with everything! And is dressy enough for work but could also be worn with jeans. These are my sandals for summer 2008 and will get them in another color as soon as they have my size again.

Helle Comforts - The photos (on my computer screen) so not do this shoe justice. I ordered the bronze and was delighted that instead of a boring brown, it was a coppery brown with a subtle metallic finish (not shiny though). They are beautiful. The leather on top is soft and stretched out right away, so that within minutes of wearing them, I adjusted the buckle tighter. I would call them a dress shoe that is comfortable rather than a comfortable shoe that is dressy. Good for standing or limited walking. I wear them to work with brown slacks and they look and feel great!

Great shoe - Very comfortable shoe. Width is adjustable, so if you have problems like I do with shoes rubbing on your baby toes, these are great. My size is 8 1/2 and I ordered an 8 1/2 and they were prefect.

Great shoe! Love that both straps are adjustable--I can adjust to fit each foot and even loosen them up toward the end of the day when my feet swell a little. Have worn them for hours with lots of standing and no discomfort. I ordered the 36, which is usually a 6 U.S., and I would say this was between a 5-1/2 and a 6, which worked for me because of the adjustability. Definitely interested in trying more of this brand!

Stylish AND comfortable - This is an amazing shoe. It is one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, and it looks great with everything. You can also adjust the width by tightening or loosening the buckles. It does seem to be about a size smaller than marked. I needed these shoes to wear for a special occasion, and had to order twice to get a size that fit; however, as always, Zappos came through by providing overnight shipping. I had the shoes in time, and got rave reviews. What more could you ask for. Helle is now one of my favorite brands.

I'm impressed!!! Someone I know gave a rave review about their Helle shoes and how comfy they were and how they could actually stand and walk in heels for hours. I found Zappos - YIPPEE! I had to return the first pair for being too small, tried a different style, sent that one back due to hitting the wrong spot over my yucky bunion, then ordered the 14004 again in one size larger. I really do love them. Because of those bunions I have not been comfortable in heels in awhile, but want to look good. What to do? Now I can look good and my feet can feel good too. I wore them to church, standing, singing, etc., then went grocery shopping in them afterwards. Thanks, Zappos! Excellent customer service. I'll order again for sure!

Comfort and Style--the best of both worlds - This is by far the most comfortable dress shoe I've owned. My foot is a little narrow and I have high arches, so I can be hard to fit. The buckles allowed me to adjust the shoe so it feels just right. I LOVE the arch support and cushion in the soles, and best of all are its stylish looks. I'm a teacher so I'm on my feet all day. This shoe feels like the sturdy shoes I wear to work and looks like the dress shoes I can only wear for a few hours at a time. The best of both worlds! Finally, I have to tell you your customer service is fabulous! I had a few questions before I ordered and the rep that helped me was a pro...she's the main reason I'll order from you again. It's hard to find good service like this on line or in a retail store.
