This is a beautiful bag, but it was just too large and unwieldy to be a useful gym bag. If you have a lot of equipment, enough to fill this bag, I think it would just be too heavy. For a pair of shoes and three sets of gym clothes, it was just too large.

This is not a serious travel bag, it is an idea that does not work, the fabric is stiff, like canvas, and that makes the zips not run nicely. The strap hardware is way too heavy. I am returning it.

I received this bag as a gift - and what a wonderful gift it is! I enjoy the look and feel - as well as the design being spacious without feeling bulky. The colors and pattern are delightful - I am definitely in tune with the Autumn - being born in the Fall and a natural red-head - so I have a lot of fun with this palette - combining outfits to go with my awesome Haiku Stroll bag. As a life-long ecologist and mostly vegan person - I am grateful to have a beautiful accessory that is stylish, useful and non-harming to planet and animals! Thank you Haiku, and thank you to my wonderful friend who selected this gift for me.

This bag looked absolutely beautiful on line. Received it and was not happy with the colors or the style. First the colors, they are muted and look much duller in person. If you are expecting a rich gold or amber color, you will be disappointed. It looks like a dull dried out mustard brown. Second, the fabric. It looks like a silky sateen or fabric in the picture but in person the blue looks like heavy duty nylon. Finally, the style. It looks great as a bucket bag on its own. But pick it up and put it over your should and it collapses into this slouchy mess. I generally like Haiku but this attempt at a "city" bag misses the mark.

I like this bag. I got it because I was tired of jamming my laptop into my purse. This is big enough to fit a lot of stuff, although if it was fully loaded it could be really heavy. There are tons of pockets of all shapes and sizes. I do not use the cross strap. I've found it a bit difficult to reach into the bag for something if it's on my shoulder, but that's not a dealbreaker. And I've gotten compliments on it from strangers and friends. One thing I wish was different- that there was a flat bottom or metal feet to keep it upright on its own. I have to prop it against something and it picks up pet fur from my floor at home (there's no stopping pet fur). Some reviewers commented that the laptop velcro strap was not useful for larger laptops. I have a 13" Macbook Air plus I shove an old school iPad with it and the velcro strap doesn't fully line up. I usually don't use it. But the entire bag zips closed. I see no instance in which a laptop could get lifted or fly from the bag.

This bag carries the bare minimum. The outside slip pocket holds my smartphone. The outside zip pocket holds a small lipstick, small pen and tiny sticky notes. The main compartment holds a pair of reading glasses and my bifold wallet. This is not much larger than a clutch. The crossbody strap and the wrist strap are very sturdy. I had the crossbody strap yanked in a casino in Vegas and it didn't budge. I also bought the red one as a travel purse.

Love it! I bought it for a trip to Thailand to keep my essentials close and secure but wanted to be hands-free as a satchel. I loved how you can adjust the straps and even remove them. I also used it at an amusement park and wrapped and looped it in my belt loops like a fanny pack but only much more stylish.

Surprisingly roomy interior. It's functional and stylish, and I've received lots of compliments on it.

This is a great bag. The short handle does not adjust but it fits me perfectly. The bag is large enough to fit everything I need.

I had to trade up from my smaller Haiku to this one when I got a new phone. This fits a 5.5 inch screen phone well- it's just a bit bigger than you need but no real extra length. I like as small a purse as possible, so that's what I wanted. The colors are just like in the pic and I really like the variety of colors. It only has three 'card' pockets, but I put all the others in the zip pouch on the inside of the purse and my cash and change in the zip pouch on the outside. I would have liked more card pockets- my old Haiku Pouch was smaller than this one, but with just as many pouches and twice the number of card holders, but oh, well. I think they wouldn't have fit as well in this purse. I already got a spot on it and it came right off with a wet paper towel. There's leather at the top, but I'll still probably throw it in the washing machine when it needs it. I prefer the small wristlet to the strap and it's nice because the wristlet swivels so you can clutch the purse when it's on your wrist, too.

Nice little wallet. The only negative I have about it is that I wish it had a full-sized compartment for dollar bills.

Really cute bag, very true to picture. Bought to carry iPad on trips, but so cute I use it for a purse as well. There is a zippered compartment and two sleeve compartments inside, a large back outside pocket and a front vertical zip one. Shoulder strap is wide so does not dig in.

This is a revised review. I returned this bag following quality issues. Haiku the company is under new ownership and perhaps this affected the quality of the materials and design.

Haiku is not the same company that it was two years ago. I have three Haiku bags that are well designed and constructed of superb materials. They are great quality. This bag, the "Romp" as well as the "Leap" look similar online to the earlier bags but the fabric is lesser quality, the zippers don't work as well, and the pockets are not nearly as useful for holding things like phones, car keys and smaller tablets. The newer fabrics soil more easily and show pet hair and lint. I did some research on Haiku as a company. The original company, Haiku by Sharon Eisenhauer, was sold two years ago. The new company is located in Seattle. Guess I will have to find a new brand. The "Romp" is being returned.

This wallet is REALLY cute. Unfortunately, I read the dimensions wrong and I was looking for something that would hold my passport. It has to go back.

A very nice bag, with lots of pockets, etc. But bigger than I was expecting - would love to see a photo of it ON the shoulder of a person, so I could accurately determine it's size before ordering.

Cute little bag. Solid construction. It has a lot of pockets, but I find them too small and difficult to get in and out of easily. The top zipper is also hard to open and close. I'm sad to say I'm sending this one back.

This bag is awesome! It's lightweight & large enough to carry many things. I carry a planner, iPad make up pouch, the matching Haiku clutch. And I still have room to throw in my lunch or anything else I may need for the day. However, it is not so large & heavy that you can't throw it over your shoulder & carry it around.

I love the bag, but hate the strap. There is so much workmanship that foes into the bag, you would think they could upgrade the strap somewhat. While it is a nice width, the material (of the strap), is very thin. Thus, it does not stay in one place. If I have it on my shoulder, it tends to get longer, as the day goes on. I am pretty sure that if I had on a sleeveless dress, it would cut into my skin, much like a shoulder strap in the car. That said, it really does have space for everything. Even my iPad, with the frame on it. The cell phone pocket is hard to use, and the little net for your keys is useless. A key fob would be more useful, rather than digging to the bottom of the purse. I get a lot of comments on it, and I appreciate it is made, of nylon, as it does not start out weighing 6 pounds, like some leather purses. I have it in orange, and it somehow blends with everything.

Updated version of the Grab Bag. The mini-tablet pocket is awkward and too small for a Kindle with cover. The Autumn print is beautiful and the strap is slightly shorter, so the slide isn't ending up on my shoulder like the Grab Bag 2. The front pockets are a smidge smaller and the zip top will take getting used to over the old flap.

I'm on a quest to find a spacious everyday bag that can hold a water bottle, book, light sweater, and the gazillion other small things that wind up in purses. I thought this might be just the ticket! When this bag arrived, I found that I liked the material and general design, and the bag is very well made. So I loaded it up with my stuff to try it out. Unfortunately, the interior consists of one giant compartment, which made it very difficult to find my stuff. Also, the top opening is much narrower than the base, and I found that this made seeing and retrieving the bag's contents difficult. (I realize this is standard design of a hobo bag, so I'm thinking this style is just not for me.) I could manage with the smaller opening if the main compartment had one or even two dividers in it, just to keep all my stuff from getting jumbled around. As it is now, though, the design of this bag doesn't suit my needs, so I'm sending it back.
