My first pair...
Of Doc Martens and I am in love. Only regret, waiting too long to purchase them. It is like walking on clouds, I forget they are new. No aches, pains, or blisters. LOVE THEM!

Super cute but runs small -
I love Dr. Martens! I have been wearing their mary janes for years - UK8/US10 - I normally wear a size 11. Knowing that DR. M's "alternate" style shoes tend to run small I order a size up - UK9/US11. This particular style was still very snug. I had to return them. I was so disappointed, they are SUPER cute.

Really feminine un-"chunky" look and that's what I went for. I purchased them for work, but they ended up giving me blisters right on the side of the shoe because the leather is much too hard and rides much too high to sit comfortably on my ankle bone. I've worn them so much I probably can't return them, but I bought another pair of shoes for work.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: I replaced mine with a pair of Blowfish shoes.

Christina in lilac -
I love my Doc Martens boots and thought I would try something more feminine. The Christina is a great flat with a sturdy sole. I wear a 7C and got a UK 5 and they seem a half-size long but just the right width. They're pretty comfortable, but the heel rubs. The lilacs are not matte light purple as it looks in the picture on Zappos - they are iridescent! See a better picture on the Doc Martens webpage. The color alone gets a lot of compliments. Very cute shoes!

Huge!
I ordered these a couple days ago and just received them - they're huge! They’re at least a full size bigger or even 1.5 sizes bigger than marked. They’re the smallest size available, so I’m just gonna have to return them.

These are the 'femme' Docs... they work really well with jeans AND dresses, are super comfortable, and yes, won't empty your pocketbook either.

Great Glittery Shoe -
I was extremely pleased with these shoes. They do trend more toward the 8.5 end of the spectrum than the 9. While they were a bit snug at first, after a couple of days of wear (and wearing them with socks for a little while) they loosened up and are now very comfortable. I recommend using the band-aid blister-preventer stick on the top of your feet until you break them in.

What a great little shoe for fall with a denim skirt/denim capris. They are so different from other DOCS that I have purchased in the past, bought my true size 10 and they fit about the same as my other DOCS.

Cool alternative to flats -
I love the look of these shoes; I have been wearing them with casual skirts and jeans as an alternative to flats. I give them 5 stars overall, but 4 stars for comfort because they are too narrow even though I have average feet in width. My other problem is that I have high arches, so the right shoe is a little tight at the toe box. If I had gotten the next size up they would have been too loose. Great customer service from Zappos as always!

Really happy with these shoes. They're comfortable and they look great. The leather is stiff so it's still taking a little while to break in, so take that into account. Overall happy with the product!

Good shoes. Perfect fit - plenty of room and not too big (I'm a pretty standard 9M except that I have long toes). Snappy lookin' with both my ankle-length jeans and black slacks, which is about all I wear these days.

Hoping they age well.
I really love the look of these shoes. The do pinch a bit at the toe but I am hoping that, like all of my other docs, they stretch as I wear them. To expedite that I am trying to wear them with thicker socks than usual. Other than the pinching I heart everything about them. They are cute with pants and skirts and the yellow stitching keeps them from being too cutesy.

Loved the look, but too big.
Unfortunately for me, I am between sizes, and the 5 was too big (not available in a 4.5 to even try). No innersoles or cushions would have worked to make them fit. Plus there is no arch support. However ... I loved the look of these, and the sole was fantastically comfortable. If you have a "normal" size foot and don't need extra arch support, I'd try these!

Fit suggestions -
I am a U.S. size 6.5, and trying to decide which U.K. size to buy is always a problem. I initially ordered a U.K. 5, or a U.S. 7. This was huge on me. Fortunately Zappos sent a U.K. 4 the next day, which fit beautifully. The toe box on this shoe is less boxy than a typical Doc, which will make it feel small to a person who is used to, or needs a lot of room in that area. If you are used to wearing shoes that are more fitted in the toe area, I would recommend ordering your usual size for starters. I wound up with one a half size smaller than usual and a good fit, but I don't need a roomy toe box. I really love this shoe!

Really cute shoe. Edgy but a bit feminine. Looks nice with capris and skinny jeans. Not super comfortable, but comfortable enough. I'm adding to the size debate. I am size 7.5 and have worn size 8 on occasion when a shoe runs small. The size 8 (UK size 7) in this shoe was huge on me! I am happy in a size 7 (UK size 6) now, but even that size feels quite loose. In my experience you need to order down with this shoe, especially if you are between sizes. Maybe people are confusing the UK and US sizes?

These shoes are adorable, but if you are a half size, order down, they're quite large. I've worn them 4 or 5 times and have yet to break them in, but I'll get there.

I am typically a Mary Jane kind of girl when it comes to docs (which I swear by), but these are a great more casual alternative. Keep in mind that any Docs (be it boot's or other styles) generally make your foot look slightly bigger. But if you’re used to the look and feel of docs, these are a nice pair to add to your collection.

Unfortunately, the "order up a size" wasn't a good idea in my case. I did that and the shoes were way too big. I will try ordering my usual size and see what happens.

I have had Dr. Martens in the past and was happy to see this style. I got my real shoe size and had to return them for 1 whole size larger. Now it seems like it should have at least another 1/2 size larger than that. I'm not sending them back hoping they will stretch, but I love the look.
