I also thought it was a knit dress - the photo is very misleading. However, as one review says, this could work great over jeans but really it is not as substantial as the photo makes out. It is cute though just not what I was looking for! The service of Zappos however is soo fast and so easy to return that I was not too bothered when it wasn't what it looked like.

Not what was expected.
There wasn't much of a description of this dress when I ordered it, but I looked at the photos and assumed it was a knit material. It isn't. It is an extremely thin, somewhat scratchy fabric. What I had thought was the pattern of the knit was a stamped-on plaid pattern in brown (on the black dress). This is definitely going back... not worth the or so price tag.

Totally not a dress - but I love it.
I've been looking for a knee-length or higher, long-sleeved dress for a while. This seemed to fit the bill. Except it isn't long enough to be a dress. I intentionally ordered a size larger, because it looked super short in the picture. The sleeves are a little too long, and the neck is a little too low, and the back is far, far too short to wear out, even with tights. But it looks great over jeans! I actually love it. It's comfortable and pretty, and works well with low slung jeans.
