Great shoe so far! Very comfortable heel fit (I have a bit of a narrow heel, size 11), enough room in toe box. However, stepped on a wet wood deck and slipped (almost fell, wrenched my appendix). Wait, I don't have an appendix. I'd be careful on wet, flat surfaces.

I specifically purchased these shoes for their grip stick rubber technology GSR that GoLite states is an "exclusive high-grip compound that offers extra traction on slick surfaces, such as wet rocks, snow and ice." My first day out I hiked Stone Mountain which is solid granite. It was slightly wet in some areas. I slipped and fell right on my rear. I am very disappointed that these shoes were no better then my sneakers that I normally wear. I was expecting them to actually work well and provide the traction that they state to provide. I would not buy them again. As a note, they do run a half size small. I wear a 7 and purchased a 7.5 which fit perfect. And they are cute hiking shoes, they just don't work well for what I need them for.

I purchased these shoes for an upcoming trip to France (lots of walking in the cold). I began breaking them in today. They are comfortable and sturdy and do not make my 8 1/2 size feet look big (actually small and cute). I ordered 8 1/2, they fit great and I am wearing thick socks. Thin socks fit great, too. I have an issue with the shoes I frequently have on Keen shoes among others (and believe it's not an issue with the shoe as much as my foot)..a part digs into my Achilles's tendon. A few band-aids or some moleskin in the heel of the shoe fixes this. I have not yet played with the varied insoles. I have a wide ball of the foot and high arches. My arches are supported and my ball of foot area is not too snug/cramped.

Great shoe! I have never tried GoLite brand before. This shoe looks good and feels great on my foot. It comes with a total of 3 foot bed inserts. Narrow, medium, or wide. Great idea!

I have difficulty finding comfortable shoes but these are fairly good. I removed the insole and put in my orthotics and it actually fit better than I expected. They rub my heel a lot and I have blisters even though I've been putting on bandaids to protect. If the heel rubbing problem goes away, these shoes will be very comfortable. And I like the look!
