I think GoLite is pretty new in the footwear market, but the Lime Lite seemed like a pretty cool shoe so I was surprised to see that there were no reviews. I generally don't like buying things without some insight, and not knowing anything about GoLite I was even more hesitant but decided to take the plunge. I wear either a 10.5 or 11 -- sometimes I swim in 11s sometimes 10.5 are too small. But I wanted these in the ochre color and they were only available in 11 in that color so my choice was made for me. Turns out they fit pretty well, definitely not too big, but it's hard to say if they're true to size. It's not stated on Zappos but these actually come with adjustable footbeds (which are also anti-microbial and washable). The toe of the footbed has removable inserts, the idea being if you have narrow feet you can use a thicker insert, wide feet a thinner insert. Pretty cool. Also, the ochre color isn't nearly as vibrant an orange as it looks in the photos, it's more muted. They seem really solid and well made. Nice materials, nice attention to detail. And they look really cool. They were stiff for all of 10 minutes, after which they felt perfectly broken in. Definitely two thumbs up.

Really nice sharp looking shoe. Very comfortable. Lightweight. One minor issue is there isn't much air flow, but your feet don't sweat. 4.5 stars.

Great pair of shoes, better than my Keen, Ecco and Merrell. very comfortable for walking and does not need the regular break-ins. I'd buy another one if they have more styles.

The shoe is incredibly comfortable right out of the box, except for one huge issue. The end of the tongue digs into the front of your ankle. Without any tongue padding, there is nothing you can do to improve this. I tried unlacing the first hole, but that made the shoe sloppy fitting at the heel. The foot bed feels great; the toe box is plenty big enough. I love that the lacing goes down to the toe (which prevents issues with seams rubbing on my bunions). I love that the shoe doesn't have a high heel. I love the grip of the rubber. Both my husband and I would have bought this one if only for the tongue issue. Sadly, it negated all the other wonderful features of the excellent shoe.

About GoLite
Turn what you know about shoes upside down and inside out. Normal shoe construction puts the comfy stuff close to the foot and in the middle of the sole, with the harder, more supportive material, on the outside close to the ground. A stiff, inflexible outsole is inherently more unstable on rough terrain. GoLite® improves on this conventional thinking with a sole that is softer against the ground and a more stable, firmer layer inside, closer to the foot where it belongs. This construction provides a more stable and comfortable ride. GoLite's 'Soft Against the Ground' system takes the beating... not your joints.
IMPROBABLY LIGHT
Like their name implies, GoLite® Footwear's line of trail running, fast packing, multi-purpose and travel footwear are built to be durable and lightweight. They do that by using technical innovation, the latest materials, design inspired by nature, and a comprehensive understanding of biomechanics. GoLite® strives to break compromises and continues to produce the highest performing, most protective, most durable, AND lightest outdoor products in the industry.
INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE
GoLite® Footwear's 'Soft Against the Ground' construction, premium materials inside and out and attention to detail provide the style, fit, support and durability that can be equally at home on the trail or around town. The Paw Pad™ outsole delivers the stability and comfort like no other shoe you have ever worn.
PreciseFit™ Footbed System
Fits a Narrow, Medium or Wide Width Because no two feet are the same, the PreciseFit™ footbed accommodates most foot widths while providing instant width adjustment. This ensures a customizable fit straight out of the box. There's no need to hunt for an extra wide or extra narrow style. The PreciseFit™ footbeds will provide you the perfect fit for any occasion. The PreciseFit™ system is the standard for every pair of GoLite® Footwear.
PreciseFit™ footbeds will be listed in the description of each style that offers this technology.

GoLite claims that the Lime Light and some of their other shoes are adaptable to fit a range of different foot widths from narrow to wide. Speaking as a guy with narrow (B/C width) feet, I'm here to tell you this is mostly false. The actuality is that for narrow width feet you don't actually address the main problem of getting a secure fit without changing the actual lateral width of the shoe. GoLite's solution for narrow width feet (and that of shoe store sales people) is to double up on the insoles. This does little to address the main problem and usually just creates a couple more. The main problem narrow footed people have is that the foot slides around in the shoe side to side, forward, backward. Adding an extra layer of insole does little to reduce the lateral movement of the foot in the shoe. Most of the time the only thing the extra layer accomplishes is creating more pressure points on the top of the foot from your foot being crammed against tongue seams or eyelets. And often the big toe is pressed downward in an unnatural way. In the case of the Lime Lite there's plenty of toe room, but for me the tongue of the shoe doesn't have enough padding, especially near the top. Also the tongue is too short. In my opinion it needs to extend up another 1/2" so it doesn't dig into the top of your foot at the shoe opening. I'm actually debating whether or not to keep the shoes. If I do I can't actually wear them with confidence as they were intended (on uneven natural terrain) for fear of instability due to loose fit. "Oh just wear extra thick socks." Yeah, right. What do I do when its above 40 degrees? I have given up on ever seeing the real solution to my perpetual footwear dilemma. Shoe manufacturers are only interested in catering to the masses who have D, E, EE, EEE, and EEEE width feet. To make an actual B or C width width would just be wimpy I guess, in their way of thinking. I am so fed up with not having any shoes that fit properly that I would actually pay double and special order shoes if that were even an option. The selection of shoes offered in a true B or C width is pitiful, and usually not in a style or even type I want. Okay, enough of my rant. No shoe company will ever take this seriously anyway. The bottom line on this shoe is if your foot width is D to E (or possibly wider - I really can't say) go for it! While you're at it you have thousands of other choices here as well. The Lime Lite appears to be fairly well constructed and should have excellent traction in mud. And if I keep the shoes it will appear that I am sure footed and ready to hit the trail. That's all I can really say about being in the Lime Lite. Oh yeah, Zappos is the best shoe store anywhere...period. I should know. I try a lot of shoes. Good luck!

This shoe fits my narrow heel, which is a trick for most shoes for me. The precise fit insert helped my narrow heel not slide around. The tread has kept me from falling on the ice at least twice in the last two weeks. Love this shoe!

I got these shoes for a trip to NYC and in general for work. Never had sore or wet feet from the rain the whole time. They are very comfortable. They are ridiculously grippy on ice and pavement. The only time I noticed it being slick is walking on wet tile. In my opinion they've been worth the money.

The GoLite quality does not match the price it's selling for. These shoes are in the same price class as Hi Tec and Merrell but it is not a similar quality.

Extremely comfortable with a great fit, appreciate the extra room in the toe area. Nice style as well, the shoe looks better in person than in pictures. Only a few hot spots after a full day wear but I'm attributing that to subpar socks. First GoLite, would buy this brand again.
