Gola

I bought these sneakers after looking around for a light, low-profile spring shoe to wear with shorts. I was surprised to see that Gola doesn't make any half sizes (as I am a size 8.5 in most sneakers), so I followed the advice of some other reviewers and went with the next biggest size - 9. The fit is... interesting. As other reviewers pointed out, these sneakers are very narrow in the toe. I didn't think this would be a problem, as my feet aren't very wide, but it was. There is about 1 inch of space between my big toe and the tip of the shoe, but it's basically unusable because if my feet were any longer, they wouldn't fit in the narrow space. So when I walk the extra space in the front kind of flops down and smacks the ground. As for comfort, these sneakers have very little in the way of arch support or padding. You can feel every little crack or pebble underneath you when you walk. I had to tread carefully when walking down some cobblestone walkways. You probably wouldn't want to wear these on a day when you were planning to do a lot of walking. But for normal use, they're fine. I'd still recommend them, as they are very stylish and I have gotten a lot of compliments on how nice they look. I just wanted to let others know what to expect when buying these shoes.

The soles are even thinner than they look in the picture. They also have about a half inch or so of extra space in the toe that is much narrower than the rest of the shoe. They look cool, but I've already worn holes in the heels after wearing them for about 4 days a week for only 8 months.

I love this shoe! It's extremely stylish and comfortable. I normally wear a size 8 and bought the size 7 based on other reviewers feedback. They are a little snug but are wearing in nicely.

Super cute shoe, light as a feather. A lot of reviewers seemed to think it ran a little big and suggested ordering a half size down, I did not find this to be the case.

These are very confortable shoes; however, these shoes are made for narrow feet. I purchased my normal 11.5 and could not wear them with inserts, but sine they are a comfortable shoe, I got away with it. Also, not knockin' the shoe but I noticed your feet look about 3 sizes smaller when these shoes on-not a big deal, just an aesthetic thing.

The shoes arrived on time exactly as anticipated. They were in great condition. Great prices, great company. The fit was perfect. I will use Zappo's now for just about anything I want to buy on-line.

Wonderful shoe. If you don't mind a flat insole, then these feel okay. I mean, they're cushioned inside, but they don't have any arch support. However, that could easily be fixed with an insert if you wanted to buy one.

I have 3 pairs of Gola Contact which are between 4 and 6 years old. They have all been worn a lot and finally showing age so I bought these and hoped they were more like the Contacts yet I only wore them for 4 hours today and we shall see. They are not sexy like the Contacts are!

This is a great shoe! The picture of the grey/silver looks more brown/tan than it really is. These are comfortable and stylish and are perfect for almost any occasion. I wouldn't mind walking in these around campus all day. The low profile was key, and I am glad I made this purchase. The service was great with Zappos. I ordered these and received them the next day.

Yes, they're tight in the toes when you first wear them. Yes, you should order a size up from your half-size. But by the 2nd or 3rd wearing they have loosened up nicely in the toe and are perfectly comfortable. Love them!

Very narrow fit. Had to return. For what it's worth, my usual size is 9M - not wide (have never had to purchase a wide shoe). Quality seemed good though.

These shoes are very comfortable and very cute, but definitely big. I usually wear an 8 1/2. I got a size 8 and it's still a little big. But generally I'm happy with them.

Bought a pair of these shoes for fencing and they are wonderful. They fit and feel great. They are low profile, lightweight and perfect for the style of fencing I participate in. Thanks Zappos!

Perfect shoes for walking around town. Sometimes the dark color will stain white socks, but the shoe fits great.

I am long time fan of Gola shoes, having worn multiple pairs of the Gola Chase. However, this shoe was a huge disappointment. I had it for about 1.5 weeks and the sole began to rip away from the top. I should have just sent it back then, but decided it was just a weird flub and put some shoe glue on it. Then, two weeks later the other shoe's sole broke away as well, and it was a steady decline in structure for the next 3 months. All told, the pair of shoes only lasted 4 months - a far cry from the 1.5 years I've had some pair of Gola Chase's. Love the brand, love the style, but would not recommend this shoe. It just isn't the quality I was used to in Gola. I'll go back to my Chase's.

Quite comfortable and lightweight. The shoe appears to be of average build quality, but time will tell. The silver details and logos are wearing on the side of the shoe and peeling from the top of the tongue after only a short number of uses. This does effect the overall performance of the shoe, but also does help in the aesthetics department. Overall, I give this shoes a 4, but probably would not buy it again.

I really wanted to love these shoes, and I did love the worn-in look. However, like some other reviewers, the shoe has an odd fit. The toe is way too narrow, giving the shoe strange appearance from above, and making it very uncomfortable. I normally wear a 7.5, and ordered an 8. It literally felt like circulation was being cutoff from my feet, and I wasn't wearing any socks. Sorry to have to send these back. If you do want to order, I'd suggest a full size up, at least.

Perfect for narrow feet. I wear 9 1/2 and I found the size 10 fit worse in the toe bed than size 9. They are now my no socks, three season shoe. If you have wide feet, it does not matter what size shoe you order, these will not fit you!

Very happy with my purchase. Zappos has great service and risk-free return policy which is reassuring. Speedy delivery and although I never returned anything to Zappos, I feel comfortable buying online and having the option to return if the fit isn't right.
