Product Information:

  • Whether you're crushin' the hardpack or floatin' on fresh powder, the Girls Park Pickle 140 PTX has the modern freestyle design that makes for an easy ride.
  • Sweet board graphics designed by Gnu art director Tim "Pinski" Karpinkski.
  • Banana Tech - An all-terrain rocker placed specifically between your feet where it belongs. Full tip-to-tail edge contact makes riding easy, whether you're hitting the hard pack or gliding on fresh powder.
  • Magne-Traction features seven strategically placed contact points that cut into the snow like a knife, giving you enhanced edge hold and control.
  • Pickle Tech - Asymmetrical sidecuts and design balance the different turning mechanics needed for heelside and toe side turns.
  • The ultralightweight rugged "polymer bumper" has a sandwich construction at the tip and tails. Steel edges are used for control along the contact area and are tucked in just past the contacts for minimum spin weight.
  • Asymmetrical Twin Shape combines a symmetrical nose and tail shape with asymmetrical sidecuts. The heel-side sidecut has a slightly tighter radius than toe-side that helps offset the difference in feel and toe agility.
  • Sintered 9900 Alloy Base is formed with continuous compression for molecular elongation, preserving its amorphous polymer structure for optimal wax absorption and durability.
  • Quasi Glass has a four-way orientation 0/45/45/90. A triaxial and biaxial glass combo delivers maximum pop and control. Vectran liquid crystal polymer was engineered as the fiber foundation for inter-planetary Mars lander tires and has 10 times the strength of titanium.
  • Tough EISS 9 UHMW Sidewalls on the exterior are laminated to nine layers of endgrain birch on the inside for ultralight-spin weight and increased pop.
  • AGA2 Sustainable Woodcore is a perfect combination of aspen wood, an even more ultralightweight, genetically-altered wood core and EISS9. This lightweight wood is deemed "nature's fiberglass" and is built into the core to provide a light, poppy center.
  • Flex Rating: 4.5 out of 10.
  • Measurements:
    Waist Width: 23.8".
    Reference Stance Width: 18.23"-23.5"/ 0".
    Sidecut Radius: 7.9/7.7.
    Contact Length: 105cm.
  • Weight Range: 70-140 lbs.

"We Build Our Own Damn Boards" isn't just a slogan for Gnu® snowboards; it's a way of life. Based out of Carlsborg, Washington, snowboarders at Gnu have been carefully hand building high performance snowboards for the past twenty-five years. The nearby Olympic and Cascade Mountain Ranges gives them ample opportunity to try out their latest innovations.

Manufactured by Mervin Manufacturing, which is the longest running and last major snowboard factory in the USA, Gnu® snowboards continue to keep its pulse close to the snowboarding community. And since Mervin is managed and staffed by snowboarders, the company continues to innovate and experiment with new ideas to make the rider experience better and better.

Mervin’s "build, ride, refine" philosophy has created many important developments in snowboard evolution. The use of sidecuts to create edgehold and turning ability were first introduced by snowboard pioneer Mike Olson. The latest technology has been the creation of the Magne-Traction that makes snowboards easier to ride and improves overall performance. Their Banana technology continues to create better rocker control, tip-to-tail contact and improved gripping so the snowboarder controls the ice and not the other way around.

Mervin Manufacturing also strides to be an environmentally-sound company by working with water-based solvents and renewable fast-growing forest products. Wood dust is even recycled and scrap wood is sold for kindling. Mervin Manufacturing continues to move forward to be the leading snowboard company with a clean environmental conscience.
