I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered one size larger than my existing shoes and one size was not enough- should have ordered two sizes larger! Unfortunately, that same shoe is not available so will return for something different.

Love the shoes, great support and efficiency. Order one full size bigger than you typically wear.

Great all around cycling shoe. Perfect for casual rides combined with walking (using SPD's). All of my old shoes have given some degree of discomfort while spending time off the bike. These are great on and off the bike. They are still new, but appear to be durable.

Great shoes! The other reviews are correct--difficult to open initially if they are tightened too far--but once open, I've had no problems since. They run slightly narrow, which is great for my narrow foot, and are comfortable and easy to wear.

Cannot open these dang things so I'm unable to get them on my feet. I understand how they should be adjusted to get my foot in, but, just like two of the other reviewers, they aren't working. I'm returning them. Very disappointed.

I wear a US size 9 sneaker, bought these in a 41.5, and they fit perfectly. I need a little more arch support and these are great without needing to add inserts. Walking around in them is relatively comfortable, I don't make that annoying clicking sound.

I've worn this exact cycle shoe, successfully, for two years. I received them from my husband as Mother's Day gift and I wear them every day (6-7 days/week) during spin class. They have thousands of revolutions and hours on them and I've never had one issue with their comfort, fit or style. As a matter of fact, they are so comfortable, I wish I could wear them all day long!

Ordered my true size a 39 ended up going with a 40 but could probably use another size up!

To be honest I thought the previous reviewer who had trouble opening the shoes probably just didn't understand ratchet straps, but I now return to back them up. I had a very difficult time opening the ratchet straps on these the first time. Someone shoved the straps so far in that the release couldn't be pressed down (rather a design flaw, I feel). It took me about 10 minutes on each shoe as well as a screwdriver and a lot of elbow grease to get them open, but I did and now they're fine. The shoes themselves are good. I love the color and they're comfy to ride in. I might recommend buying these somewhere local if you have the chance? May provide less of a struggle to get into initially.

This brand of shoe is very narrow. I tried 2 different pairs one with the weird closure and the Velcro one and when I put it on the velcros won't close all the way so if you have wide feet which mine aren't that wide, even when I got a whole size larger from the outside it looked like the shoe was too narrow. So bad that the brand name couldn't be seen anymore coz it was so pulled to the side just to fit my foot. The giro company also has poor customer service. So I'm exchanging them for pearl Izumi and Louis garneau. I still really love Zappos though!

I could not open this shoes for the life of me!!! I called zappos, they didn't know, I checked YouTube videos and couldn't find any helpful ones explaining the mechanics of opening this shoe. It did not come with instructions either! I called the GIRO company too and they didn't seem like they didn't seem very concerned about my dilemma. I bought 2 pairs and even though the 2nd one was Velcro and could have worked out, I'm returning both GIRO shoes because they don't deserve my business. Zappos customer service is always an A+! So I'll be exchanging these giro shoes for some PEARL IZUMI's and LOUIS GARNEAU!

I was so sad that these didn't work for me. They are so comfortable. Great size, width, and arch support. The only reason I chose not to keep them is I like a softer shoe. I think if I had skinny ankles they would be good but it cut into my ankle a bit.

So far they are making my feet go numb. I do not understand why. They are not tight and I bought a pair of Spenco insoles and they are not helping. I wish that I could return them, but to try out cycling shoes you have to ride in them.

This is a great looking shoe that I wish fit me better! I usually wear a 39 (8 1/2) and tried a 40 and 41. The 40 felt too tight to risk keeping, but my heel slipped in the 41.The chart says I should wear a half size, that isn't offered in this style.I planned to use it for spin class and besides the toned down style that I really like, the sole seemed very user friendly if doing a little off of the bike.If you're closer to a full size than I am, it should work for you.

I wear a size 9 in street shoes but purchase a 42 in cycling shoes. I originally had the giro rela but the cleat shaft broke and they were no longer available in my size. After trying several other brands I ordered this shoe. The giros are superb when it comes to comfortable foot beds. No other shoe I tried was as comfortable. They also make the prettiest cycling shoes in my opinion. I do want to say I love Zappos. After my first pair broke they credited me for the full cost. And with buying she's online you never know how they fit till you get them so Zappos free shipping and returns are helpful as well as the quick turn around time. Thanks you Zappos!

First cycling shoe; I think they are great. No regrets. Fit is good for me -- my size 10.5D/11C feels just fine in a pair of 45s. Good cushioning at ankle. Toe box is a little narrow so that might not work for others but it is good for me. There is only minimal tread so walking around should be minimal. Comes with 2 sets of cleat nuts in case you need them.

I looked a long time for shoes that were versatile as a commuter shoe and didn't immediately scream "bike clips" and make me walk awkwardly because of the clips. These are perfect. I did buy the Giro women's insole and that made a big difference in comfort for my high arches. Love these shoes!

I generally wear a 39 and have wide feet, I purchased a 41 and they were perfect, I'd say they run closer to a size and a half small, unless you have rather narrow feet. They breathe well, do not make my feet hot. They could use a little more arch support for me (I usually wear Birkenstocks), which is why I will be adding heat mold inserts into them. They also are decently easy to walk in with the occasional rubbing of the cleat.

I needed a pair of cycling shoes suitable for flat pedals for a mountain bike (MTB) clinic. I have narrow feet (9 AA US) but have had good luck with Giro shoes since they tend to run narrow. Upon recommendation from a friend, I ordered this particular Giro flat cycling shoe in my normal Euro 40 size and also in a size Euro 41 since Giro's sizing chart confirms that they run about a full size small. Both the size 40 and 41 arrived. As has been the case with previous Giro cycling shoe purchases, the size 41 fit me best. I will be returning the size 40 to Zappos. One quick note, this is a great shoe that has good style and that fits my foot very well. I will say that there is virtually zero arch support in these shoes (Giro's insole insert is very thin & flat). I replaced the stock footbed with one from CurrexPro (the High Arch version, size medium). With the CurrexSole installed, I have a very comfortable and great-fitting flat pedal shoe.

Great shoes - I used for instructing an indoor cycling class and they are very easy to clip in and out. Very cute, too. They pinch my toes a little, but I think they will stretch.

Very comfortable. I need a wide toe box and these fit like a glove. Great power transfer to for a shoe that isn't a bike shoe only. Comfortable to walk and wear all day. My complaint is the velcro strap. If they had a loop to hold the laces it would be perfect.
