Very disappointing for the price. Upper mat'l lacks support so foot "wobbles". while walking. Uppers also shed=not good! Zero support. Due to design, heel lifts up while walking. Overall very heavy slipper.

They are beautiful and comfortable. But the first pair got a hole in the sole and the second pair got a hole in the toe. But Zappos was lovely about both exchanges.

Based on others' reviews of this slipper, I ordered a size up but it ended up being too big. I'm a true US 6, so I'm going to stick with that rather than order a size up.

I really wanted to love these, but they were so wide that they didn't stay on my foot! I usually order wide when available, even! I do like the style and the charcoal color. I only wish they came in a truer medium width.

I love my new slippers. It took a few days to break them in, but now they are comfortable and cozy and molding nicely to my narrow, size 7 1/2 foot. I have them in the gray with the red flower. Very beautifully made...a good purchase and the sole can go outside, which is perfect when you have a dog, or need to get the mail etc.

These are so comfortable and have molded to my foot, similar to a Birkie. I live in the the Bay Area, s.f., and these keep my toes warm and cozy even in August!,,

I live in a historic stone bunkhouse with quarry tile floors and at the end of a long day working the ranch my feet are already sore, and then dang that floor is hard with regular Ugh slippers (formerly my favorite). I splurged for these because I'm 62 and life's too short for sore feet at the end of the day. These are terrific slippers. They fit snug out of the box--and I have narrow (B) feet. Initially the soles and arch felt stiff, but after two days' use they're a perfect fit barefoot, and snug with boot socks. They do have more sole and heel thickness than a flat slipper, so I have to pay attention and not "fall off" the heel, but that's my problem. My only regret is that I didn't buy these years ago.

Ah, with regret I post this review. I'd rather not leave a negative review but I need to warn potential buyers. I bought these 6 months ago in my true size and after almost a month's of wear the wool felt stretched so much that the slipper became too roomy and uncomfortable to walk in. Zappos was gracious and received my late return and sent me a full size down to replace my stretched ones. The size down was snug for about a week or so but then stretched to a perfect fit. I was so thrilled because I need to wear supportive slippers in the house and these were great! However, the honeymoon was short. With each passing month the slipper stretched even more and now these sized-down sippers are way too roomy to walk comfortably in. My toes are constantly grasping down to keep some friction in the slipper so they don't fly off. If I had kept the shoe box I would try to return these again. I appreciate the natural wool and they are a potentially great slipper with how they stay cool in summer and warm in winter and have moderate arch support, but the continual stretch is a major downside. I usually wear them over my bare feet and don't wear bulky socks with them so I can't imagine the stretching was due to my feet expanding them. I am very disappointed. Don't say I didn't warn you

I have a mixed reaction to my pair of Giesswein Veitsch slippers. I like the look of them. Aside from the issues (which I'll mention) the quality seems solid. Having ordered shoes manufactured in Europe before I ordered a size larger. These still felt too small; my heel hangs over the back lip, which is intentionally low profile, so the slipper never feels as though it's fully on. I waited to see if breaking in would improve the fit; it somewhat did. The other problem I have is with the arch support. It's an insert and after a few weeks of occasional wearing, the insert in the right slipper would start inching out the back of the slipper as I walked. It appears the only reason the left slipper hasn't done this is that the back lip (which as mentioned, I tend to be standing on) has folded over in such a way that for now it holds the insert inside. I'll probably fix this with some adhesive or possibly a piece of hook & loop fastener in the heel of each slipper. For the asking price I'd expect this to have been incorporated into the design. It's possible the insert slippage is a consequence of the slipper running on the small size.

This is a good slipper. Comfortable, fits snugly, and the soles don't leave marks on my hardwood floors.

I believe these are the same fit as Flora. I have had four pairs of them. I wash them quite often and they come out really nice. I am looking forward to these. I have never had a problem with toes coming through the fabric. Maybe the people complaining about that are buying them too short. I love these comfortable slippers and unfortunately, so do my two Labrador Retrievers. They get them every time I put them on the floor. Now for pair number five.

These are such cute slippers. They are super comfortable at first but they really stretch. So much so that they actually fling off my foot just trying to walk around the house. I sort of have to scuff around to make sure that they stay on. My regular shoe size is 10M and I ordered a 41. I would suggest sizing down.

I wear a US 9. The Euro size 41 worked. The shoe is very sturdy and well built. A bit too sturdy for my needs. I was looking for a house slipper/shoe, but this was a bit overkill. Though would be good if you go outside often wearing your house shoes. As others have noted, the arch support is tremendous. My feet don't require that much support, so I found them uncomfortable. The inserts are removable, however. The opening of the shoe is also fairly small compared to other house shoes. These are not easy to slip on/off as you might prefer when getting in/out of bed.

I bought these for my daughter and she loves them! She's normally a 7 so I sized down to a 6 and they're perfect. I have a pair of these in the owl print so I knew they run a little big. I love mine as well! Very comfortable and way cute.

Very comfortable both indoors and out. I have a fairly thin-medium wide foot and they stay on fine. It took about three times of wearing them to "break them in."

I owned a similar style made by Keen and after several years they were falling apart! It was hard to face spending so much for slippers, but then again I will wear them almost every day. I think the wool is comfortable year round. These are even more comfortable than my last pair. They provide amazing arch support for slippers. The elephant design is adorable - it makes me happy to get up in the morning. I highly recommend them and there are many designs available.

These Giesswein slippers are amazingly comfortable. The arch support is excellent, and there is plenty of room in the toe area. My heel is narrow and it is not slipping around - the slippers fit very securely. I normally take a size 8 1/2 to 9. Based on what other reviewers stated, I ordered a European size 41 (American size 10) and it was perfect. They must run small. I would highly recommend these.

Having purchased these same slippers in the past, which I love,I reordered the same. Unfortunately they do not fit the same. The opening is really large. My feet slip out as I walk. I am not even sure if a smaller size would work as the length of the current size is good. I am sorry that the style was altered! I am disappointed and will need to return them.

These slippers were too wide for my narrow foot. They were not as sturdy as I would have liked. I purchased Haflingers instead, which hug my narrow foot and have a much thicker sole.
