This boot was a little big for the size marked. Perhaps recommend ordering 1/2 size down.

Slips a little on the heel and a little hard to get in/out, but great quality and looks overall. I am keeping mine for sure. I must also add I was very pleased with the service from Zappos/UPS. It arrived in Maine in less than 24 hours and it was regular shipping!

The leather is very good quality and soft. I like how easy they are to get on. However, the stretch panel gapes a bit when I am seated. I just don't like the way that looks, but I doubt anyone notices. The style all the other times and the comfort make up for it. I bought a very similar pair by Gentle Souls last year that held up fabulously during the snowstorm and melt in NYC last holiday season. Those have the same footbed and instep as these. They resisted water getting in very well. NYC had plenty of puddles and Colorado had plenty of snow. So, I imagine these will perform the same. I could also put a waterproofing coat on them.

I loved these boots but had to return them as the fit was too wide in the heel and too narrow in the foot. I do have a narrow heel and wider foot, though most shoes will fit me, some don't.

Deerskin lining- Gentle Souls´ shoes uses supple and breathable deerskin-lined insoles providing softness and comfort while conforming to the shape of your foot. It is durable and will not stretch or crack when wet. Deerskin is normally found on gloves, jackets or shoe uppers. The deerskin-lined insole is unique to Gentle Souls shoes and sandals!
Flaxseed Memory Pillows- Flaxseed pillows are embedded in the footbed of Gentle Souls shoes to mold to the shape of your foot and provide cushioned support. The flaxseed ¨memory pillows¨ are somewhat similar to beanbags as they redistribute and adjust to the shape of your foot with every step.
Padding- Under the deerskin lining there is a memory foam developed by NASA; Poron®. This foam does not break down and maintains its shape over time.
Granulated Cork- This layer located under the Poron® helps with shock absorption when walking on hard surfaces.
Rubberized Outsole- Sometimes fused with leather, rubberized outsoles are flexible and great for traction on hard surfaces.
