Deerskin lining- Gentle Souls´ shoes uses supple and breathable deerskin-lined insoles providing softness and comfort while conforming to the shape of your foot. It is durable and will not stretch or crack when wet. Deerskin is normally found on gloves, jackets or shoe uppers. The deerskin-lined insole is unique to Gentle Souls shoes and sandals!
Flaxseed Memory Pillows- Flaxseed pillows are embedded in the footbed of Gentle Souls shoes to mold to the shape of your foot and provide cushioned support. The flaxseed ¨memory pillows¨ are somewhat similar to beanbags as they redistribute and adjust to the shape of your foot with every step.
Padding- Under the deerskin lining there is a memory foam developed by NASA; Poron®. This foam does not break down and maintains its shape over time.
Granulated Cork- This layer located under the Poron® helps with shock absorption when walking on hard surfaces.
Rubberized Outsole- Sometimes fused with leather, rubberized outsoles are flexible and great for traction on hard surfaces.

So comfortable. I love these boots. Heel has a driving wedge. I wore them straight out of the box for 9 hours the first day. And I had stubbed my toe a few days earlier and my right foot was slightly swollen. One tip: these are not boots that should be worn with socks, only barefoot. Good for a warmer climate winter. I wore them to work with black slacks, but would also wear them with jeans or tights and a skirt even. Maybe my best shoe purchase ever from Zappos.

I adore these booties. I read the reviews before I ordered them and ordered 8.5 even though all my other Gentle Souls shoes/sandals are 8. They fit me really well. These are really comfortable and cute.

Just received and I love this shoe. Put it on immediately out of the box - very comfortable and fits true to size. Cushy deerskin lining! You won't go wrong if you order this amazing shoe!!!!

I just took these out of the box...and, okay, so some folks say to order a size up but I didn't because it wasn't available in a size 10 (I normally order a 9.5). So, worrying about whether these booties were going to be too small, I found that when I put them on the length was just fine. They are a little tighter in the width but I have wider feet. They are definitely not uncomfortable, but they are snug. I'm not sure if the 10 would be a little too loose but if you wear thick socks, probably best to order a size up. I tried them on at home with some trouser socks and they are fine. They are super comfy and can be worn with skinny jeans, bootcut jeans, and cute skirt with tights. Grey is the way to go - it's this season's neutral so get them if you want them to stand out a little more than everyone's black booties.
