Deerskin lining- Gentle Souls´ shoes uses supple and breathable deerskin-lined insoles providing softness and comfort while conforming to the shape of your foot. It is durable and will not stretch or crack when wet. Deerskin is normally found on gloves, jackets or shoe uppers. The deerskin-lined insole is unique to Gentle Souls shoes and sandals!
Flaxseed Memory Pillows- Flaxseed pillows are embedded in the footbed of Gentle Souls shoes to mold to the shape of your foot and provide cushioned support. The flaxseed ¨memory pillows¨ are somewhat similar to beanbags as they redistribute and adjust to the shape of your foot with every step.
Padding- Under the deerskin lining there is a memory foam developed by NASA; Poron®. This foam does not break down and maintains its shape over time.
Granulated Cork- This layer located under the Poron® helps with shock absorption when walking on hard surfaces.
Rubberized Outsole- Sometimes fused with leather, rubberized outsoles are flexible and great for traction on hard surfaces.

So cool. Would be a keeper if my inner arch didn't cut into the inner part of the shoe - perhaps due to my wide feet. Has a clog feel when walking.

Super comfy...these get lots of attention and positive comments. Fit true to size on my moderately wide feet. These two-piece styles are sometimes hard to wear (thinking of the Dansko Sally or something). But I have nothing but great things to say about the Gentle Souls Opportunity. The toes are oddly pointy but I guess that adds to the quirky appeal.

I'm hooked. After having my first child, my feet completely changed and I was starting to believe I would only be able to wear Danskos from now on. I tried these on a whim and am thrilled. They fit true to size, are not as high as they might seem, and very comfortable to wear once you get the hang of it. They look great with jeans and with tights and skirts. Perfect fall shoe choice.

I tried these shoes in an 8 and 8 1/2. I have wider feet, so my foot fit comfortably into the generous toe box and the heel area in my opinion is neither narrow nor wide, just normal. I wore both pair around my house for an extended period and decided to keep the 8 1/2. While the leather is buttery, I thought that it would shape and stretch because of how soft the leather is. The leather very much shaped and began to mold to my feet, but it did not 'give' and stretch out the way that I thought it might. For a 3 1/2 heel, they are very comfortable. I wore them to work all day and errands after work and my feet feel just fine.

This is a very comfortable shoe! I just wish that they came in other colors so that I could wear them with everything.
