Deerskin lining- Gentle Souls´ shoes uses supple and breathable deerskin-lined insoles providing softness and comfort while conforming to the shape of your foot. It is durable and will not stretch or crack when wet. Deerskin is normally found on gloves, jackets or shoe uppers. The deerskin-lined insole is unique to Gentle Souls shoes and sandals!
Flaxseed Memory Pillows- Flaxseed pillows are embedded in the footbed of Gentle Souls shoes to mold to the shape of your foot and provide cushioned support. The flaxseed ¨memory pillows¨ are somewhat similar to beanbags as they redistribute and adjust to the shape of your foot with every step.
Padding- Under the deerskin lining there is a memory foam developed by NASA; Poron®. This foam does not break down and maintains its shape over time.
Granulated Cork- This layer located under the Poron® helps with shock absorption when walking on hard surfaces.
Rubberized Outsole- Sometimes fused with leather, rubberized outsoles are flexible and great for traction on hard surfaces.

Perfect shoe, especially if you have long toes as the toe box is more square. They are super comfortable too.
I'd also recommend: nothing yet but I am working on trying lots of you shoes

These are my favorite spring/summer shoes. They are great for people who have back and knee issues (like me!) but want to look stylish and hip (like me!). I bought the taupe color and they go with everything: jeans, skirts, shorts, pants, etc. They are true to size and super comfortable. Worth the price.
I'd also recommend: Ecco, Cole Haan, Birkenstock, Frye

This is my second pair of Gentle Souls - Okie Dokies. I have a black pair as well. These are the most comfortable dress shoes I have ever worn. My feet swell sometimes from a knee injury and I can loosened the top. Fabulous shoes!
I'd also recommend: Danskos slip on

I bought this shoe in the taupe, which is more of a cool medium beige than a true taupe. The style is a great combination of closed-in and airy. I thought the texture of the leather made the shoe look a bit cheap. The lacing allows for a custom fit of the width which is great for a high instep foot, except right at the toe area where the leather is stitched and the opening cannot be adjusted. I found that part of the shoe to be very narrow and shallow and the leather cut into my foot. Overall, the shoe was not very comfortable for me.

Nice shoes, they look on my feet exactly as they are on the picture. Their toes are square, so if you're used to pointy shoes they will fit differently. Very soft, really comfy! The only drawback is that they seem a bit brute-looking, like a cow-girl, not like a French vixen effect that I was expecting. :)
