Deerskin lining- Gentle Souls´ shoes uses supple and breathable deerskin-lined insoles providing softness and comfort while conforming to the shape of your foot. It is durable and will not stretch or crack when wet. Deerskin is normally found on gloves, jackets or shoe uppers. The deerskin-lined insole is unique to Gentle Souls shoes and sandals!
Flaxseed Memory Pillows- Flaxseed pillows are embedded in the footbed of Gentle Souls shoes to mold to the shape of your foot and provide cushioned support. The flaxseed ¨memory pillows¨ are somewhat similar to beanbags as they redistribute and adjust to the shape of your foot with every step.
Padding- Under the deerskin lining there is a memory foam developed by NASA; Poron®. This foam does not break down and maintains its shape over time.
Granulated Cork- This layer located under the Poron® helps with shock absorption when walking on hard surfaces.
Rubberized Outsole- Sometimes fused with leather, rubberized outsoles are flexible and great for traction on hard surfaces.

Love these, and I get tons of compliments on them -- women have stopped me on the street to ask about these shoes. Super comfortable, particularly for the height. I feel quite tall in them.

Fabulous feel right out of the box. I have a normal foot and a normal to high arch and these fit perfectly -- I wore them for about four hours at an event -- the very day I received them. No problem, comfy and beautiful. The grayish color is so amazingly flexible -- at first I didn't think they would be, but they match so many of my clothes. They look especially great with black, and I wear them a lot with skirts and tanks -- dresses it up a bit. They also have a '40s retro feel I think...the stacked platform give me some extra height I need -- just love them.

These Gentle Souls are so comfortable! Stylish, sexy, and comfortable all in one! Yes, they are a little expensive but so worth the money. They look great with skinny jeans or a skirt. Every time I wear them I receive many compliments, and my feet are happy for a change! Thank you, Zappos, for the quick ship and excellent customer service.
