Gorgeous and cute, but alas, still primarily a fashion shoe. Sizing is large so my normal 6.5 was huge, size 6 which actually proved to be the correct size had a very sloped toe box and not enough room for my (presumably) tall big toe. Well made, distinctive, but not a "comfort" shoe. These GS flats are a fashion shoe.
Brands I'd also recommend: Everybody, All Black, Report

I had to give these a 3 overall, because they are too wide in the middle. After they arrived I went and tired on another pair of their flats and they fit fine. I ordered my regular size, so do not have any suggestions unless you have a wide foot. I do disagree with the previous review that they are a fashion shoe...to me they would have been very practical if they had fit.

These are shoes that you can put on, wear all day, and walk for miles. I wore a similar pair for 12 days of walking in Sweden. This color elongates your legs and can be worn with almost anything. They run 1/2 size large (I normally wear a 7.5, but size down to a 7 in Gentle Souls). I wish that Gentle Souls would expand the offerings in this particular style of ballet flat.

I thought these would be like the Bayside shoes. They are not. The Bayside have soft leather around the top of the shoe. These have either hard plastic or hard patent leather around the top of the shoe. If you zoom in on the multiple views you can compare. The Bayside are so soft on the skin. However, I walked across my house in the Bay Crest and that hard material was already rubbing. I usually love Gentle Souls flat, but these are bad. Expensive flats should feel nice. The inside of the shoe is the same incredibly soft leather. It is just that little piece of trim that would probably rub blisters into my heel and instep. They are going back.

Deerskin lining- Gentle Souls´ shoes uses supple and breathable deerskin-lined insoles providing softness and comfort while conforming to the shape of your foot. It is durable and will not stretch or crack when wet. Deerskin is normally found on gloves, jackets or shoe uppers. The deerskin-lined insole is unique to Gentle Souls shoes and sandals!
Flaxseed Memory Pillows- Flaxseed pillows are embedded in the footbed of Gentle Souls shoes to mold to the shape of your foot and provide cushioned support. The flaxseed ¨memory pillows¨ are somewhat similar to beanbags as they redistribute and adjust to the shape of your foot with every step.
Padding- Under the deerskin lining there is a memory foam developed by NASA; Poron®. This foam does not break down and maintains its shape over time.
Granulated Cork- This layer located under the Poron® helps with shock absorption when walking on hard surfaces.
Rubberized Outsole- Sometimes fused with leather, rubberized outsoles are flexible and great for traction on hard surfaces.
