Deerskin lining- Gentle Souls´ shoes uses supple and breathable deerskin-lined insoles providing softness and comfort while conforming to the shape of your foot. It is durable and will not stretch or crack when wet. Deerskin is normally found on gloves, jackets or shoe uppers. The deerskin-lined insole is unique to Gentle Souls shoes and sandals!
Flaxseed Memory Pillows- Flaxseed pillows are embedded in the footbed of Gentle Souls shoes to mold to the shape of your foot and provide cushioned support. The flaxseed ¨memory pillows¨ are somewhat similar to beanbags as they redistribute and adjust to the shape of your foot with every step.
Padding- Under the deerskin lining there is a memory foam developed by NASA; Poron®. This foam does not break down and maintains its shape over time.
Granulated Cork- This layer located under the Poron® helps with shock absorption when walking on hard surfaces.
Rubberized Outsole- Sometimes fused with leather, rubberized outsoles are flexible and great for traction on hard surfaces.

Perfect travel shoes! Look cute with jeggings and skirts. Wore them to New Orleans and walked all day, wore them to Pilates, lunch, casual dinners, the airport. No break-in necessary. Compliments a couple of times. You won't regret this purchase. Has a good amount of arch support, too. True to size.

Sorry - but no! I bought these really cute shoes to wear on a trip to NYC. Since I was going to be doing so much walking, I thought these would be super comfy. My feet are now covered in blisters that are still killing me where the leather rubbed and irritated. Yes, I did have on light socks. These are going into the trash bin - live and learn.

I was loathe to spend this much money on a pair of flats, but I walk a lot and am starting to feel too old and sloppy wearing sneakers all the time. So these shoes are worth the investment. Best of all is the fit: with the straps they stay on my foot which has a narrow heel but they are wide enough in the front for my bunion. Plus they are cute and feminine. Recommended.

Arguably, one of the most expensive flats I\'ve purchased, but well worth the splurge. They are perfect in every way. Soft soft soft!...from the footbed to the leather upper...even the elastic straps are just right - snug enough to keep the shoe securely on the foot, but not so tight as to cause pain or red marks after a few hours of wear. There isn\'t much arch support as with most flats, but these feel surprisingly good even after a long (6-8hr) workday of mostly standing and walking. I am truly amazed at the comfort of these shoes...and they\'re actually NOT dowdy looking! I am going to invest in more of Gentle Souls most definitely.

Comfort fit and funky look - I just love these shoes. The softest leather I've ever found & super comfortable. I keep them in my brief case - they look great w/ black tights and a suit. The cross straps eliminate any pressure points.
I'd also recommend: Earth, Finn Comfort, Arche

I normally wear a size 8 1/2 in Gentle Souls, but this shoe was too tight across my middle toe, despite the wide toe box. The toe was too low in the front. I didn't think it was very flattering on my foot. Very duckbill looking. I was hoping for a muted metallic, but I thought they just looked dirty.
