Deerskin lining- Gentle Souls´ shoes uses supple and breathable deerskin-lined insoles providing softness and comfort while conforming to the shape of your foot. It is durable and will not stretch or crack when wet. Deerskin is normally found on gloves, jackets or shoe uppers. The deerskin-lined insole is unique to Gentle Souls shoes and sandals!
Flaxseed Memory Pillows- Flaxseed pillows are embedded in the footbed of Gentle Souls shoes to mold to the shape of your foot and provide cushioned support. The flaxseed ¨memory pillows¨ are somewhat similar to beanbags as they redistribute and adjust to the shape of your foot with every step.
Padding- Under the deerskin lining there is a memory foam developed by NASA; Poron®. This foam does not break down and maintains its shape over time.
Granulated Cork- This layer located under the Poron® helps with shock absorption when walking on hard surfaces.
Rubberized Outsole- Sometimes fused with leather, rubberized outsoles are flexible and great for traction on hard surfaces.

These are very comfortable. I agree with previous review that the heel area is wider. It works for me though because the strap holds my foot in and it does not rub. The sole is super comfortable.

These are the strangest fitting shoe I have ever put on. The toe box is tiny and squeezes both side to side and top to bottom, while the heel area had so much room you could fit a soft ball in there. Strange. And it wasn't just this pair, I tried another Gentle Souls and found the exact same fit. Both too small and too large.

These are very comfortable. I agree with previous review that the heel area is wider. It works for me though because the strap holds my foot in and it does not rub. The sole is super comfortable.

These are the strangest fitting shoe I have ever put on. The toe box is tiny and squeezes both side to side and top to bottom, while the heel area had so much room you could fit a soft ball in there. Strange. And it wasn't just this pair, I tried another Gentle Souls and found the exact same fit. Both too small and too large.

Very cute - the rugged sole was stylish. But the shoes squeaked! I was very disappointed to send these cute, comfortable, stylish shoes back.

Very comfortable, simple shoe. I ordered my usual size 7, but my heel slips up when I walk so will be exchanging for a 6 1/2. I've never had a size 7 shoe not fit, and might have been able to keep the shoe if I'd been able to tighten the strap, but it was already on the last (tightest) hole. Worth exchanging tho; soft, beautiful suede, toe bed comfortable, just enough height to the wedge, comfy footbed.

These shoes are absolutely comfortable. Good for long walking distance or daily use. The wider and arch provides good support for a person with bad blood circulation in the feet.
