Very comfortable - Very comfortable shoe. Seems to run a little small so order up a half size. No break in time except for the back of the shoe is a little higher than most low cuts so it rubs if you wear ankle socks. Once again, VERY comfortable!

Outstanding every day walking shoe - For those who like or need structure and support in an urban walking shoe, the Garmont Nagevi is outstanding. I alternate between 3 pairs. Yes, it is a trail running shoe and it is excellent for hiking on dirt and rock trails. It is so comfortable and supportive, I use it any time a leather oxford is not the proper uniform. Even though there is some leather in the upper, the shoe goes through the washer just fine. Note, it is NOT water resistant, but it does not get trashed from walking in a river bed IF the insole is removed. This is how I end-of-life these puppies.

I Love These Shoes - These shoes have excellent arch support. They are also well made and provide tremendous stability on the trail. I have gone through 3 pairs of these shoes in the past 5 years. They are also comfortable to wear everyday. I work in a casual office environment, which requires occasional trips to a warehouse and these shoes are on my feet nearly everyday.

Great Shoe - I have had a few pair of Garmont’s and they have all been great. They are durable, sturdy and light. Bummer they’re not Gore-Tex.

Excellent - I have searched for years to find a hiking shoe that fits my difficult to fit feet. I have finally found it in the Nagevi. I have orthotics that make it more difficult to get a good fit. I tried dozens of other shoes and the Nagevi feels the best by far for me. I ordered both the charcoal and the silver/grey. I kept the charcoal. I like the silver/grey color better but the laces are too short.

Great for Trail Running, Light Hiking, etc. This is my second pair of Nagevi's - the first pair I had for over 4 years! I've worn these shoes trail running, short hikes and general everyday wear through all types of terrain and weather (we just had our first snow here in Ohio). They feel good, have great traction and breathe to keep your feet comfortable. I'm extremely hard on shoes and these hold up to all kinds of abuse. The lacing system has really impressed me. I've tried shoes/boots with improved "lacing systems" and they never last, don't hold up, aren't supportive, etc. Garmont takes your normal (tried and true) laces and angles them just a bit across the foot. A little difference, but the results are huge! I've noticed that I do not need to tighten the laces as much as I do on my other shoes. My feet are much more comfortable throughout the day - especially toward the end. And because the laces are looser, my feet are warmer and have room to breathe more. If you wear these shoes all day long, your feet will be happy.

Neuropathy soothers... I am a Type I diabetic with neuropathy in my feet and, like Diogenes, I despaired of ever finding comfortable walking shoes. My quest is over - these are they.

Nagevi - Sturdy, durable well made shoe. Would probably last for years, but one drawback...too stiff. It wears me out after a few miles. Legs get tired. after a few short hikes I've decided I can't hike in them. Prefer my more flexible Montrail Hardrocks.

Nice shoe but read my caveat... There's a lot to like with this shoe: it looks great and can be worn as a casual shoe and as a hiker. Foot support is solid but I find arch support is just barely sufficient. For any kind of terrain, the more solid base of the shoe offers excellent support for the base of my feet. Here's the caveat: I find I pronate in these shoes, which was not apparent in the store nor in my break-in of the shoes. I have tested this by alternating several days in this shoe and several days in another and it is now to the point that when I wear these shoes for a few days, I get serious knee pain. First guess here is that the quest for a flatter, more stable shoe base has compromised the support the shoe offers. Next step: insoles... Hope they work because I do like this shoe.

Hiking shoes take some time - I like the looks of these shoes. I've been wearing them around the house for the breakin period, but they still make my feet feel tired when I've worn them for an hour. I'm hoping they feel better with a little more time.

Excellent style, reasonable comfort - I own two pairs, one in grey/silver, one in grey/red. Both look great and are comfortable. They are maybe a quarter size larger than marked, but overall I'm extremely pleased. It's very hard to find trail shoes that don't look stupid for casual wear. Zappos upgraded my shipping for free and I got them the next day - hard to argue with that kind of service.

Great all purpose - The Nagevi is a great light hiker, kick-around walker, and passable jogging or trail running shoe in a pinch. Very comfortable and ready to hike right out of the box. This is my second pair of Garmont hikers and one of my all time favorites.
