This is an awesome shoe! I have a issues with my feet and the Garmont feels great! Good support and lots of toe room. In fact, I liked it so much that I purchased a second pair in black. Thanks Zappos for your continuous help! Karen

Zero arch support in this shoe. But with my own orthotic I found it quite comfortable and roomy. I decided against them, though, because they are rather bulky looking, a bit too boot-like, and the color (khaki with olive green) is a bit too military-in-the-desert for me.

This shoe is extremely light and would be great in hot weather if you don't need much arch support or toe protection. It runs long compared to Keen.

Love this shoe! I needed something for a trip to Arizona that would involve light hiking and these were perfect. I, rather stupidly, did not order them in time to break them in and so had to wear them right out of the box for the first hike of the trip. Thankfully, there was no pain or blistering. They were also relatively light on my feet and in the suitcase!

I wanted something with a longer lasting sole than my Brooks Adrenalines for trailrunning, these Garmonts would be the perfect shoe if there were arch support and built for the over pronator, which they are not, so I am returning them. I also found that after wearing them only an hour that my feet were pretty warm (it was 67 degrees, in Jan) so I don't think these would work for spring hikes in Phoenix or up North in Sedona.
