Garmont Reviews
These boots are great, no doubt, but as much as my husband appreciates the warmth and Gore-Tex protection from the elements, it hurts his left ankle. Perhaps with time it'll loosen up a bit, but as of right now he has to wrap his ankle beforehand to go out in the cold. It's a little stiff on the upper part of the boot and it's quite uncomfortable.
I had the same problem with the comfort. Everything is perfect about these shoes but there was something in the closure that just killed after a period of time.
Ordered around 10:00am, was wearing them the next day at 2:00pm....thanks Vip.Zappos! Would highly recommend boots so far. Very comfortable right out of the box and super warm. I was out with the snow blower for two hours and my feet were toasty! Look great too.

Before purchasing this boot I tried 2 other styles and one other size. This was a good size larger than I normally wear. Needed no breaking in, very comfortable with room in the toes for toe warmers. Although rated -40 I had trouble keeping my toes warm at -26 to 0, but toe warmers helped. Great boot for walking/hiking in snow.
These Garmont boots are a great buy! They are comfortable and well made. The materials and stitching is high quality. The laces are very nice and long enough for a wrap around just right. I Highly recommend them. Thanks Zappos!
Ugh, I was hoping these would be nice and comfortable like my old Tevas of similar outer appearance. Sadly, these shoes hurt so badly that I can't even wear them. I see them in my closet and my feet hurt. Actually my 3 smaller outside toes and balls of feet are what ache the most. I tried different insoles and wore them to try and break them in a number of times but even wearing then short distances is painful. It feels like there is no cushion at all between the hard rubber bottom and the inside of the shoe. The only plus is the cute flower pattern on the soles. Oh, and I like the color but they are more bulky than I usually go for (and I wear clunky shoes). Maybe they are okay if you are more stationary but I walk around all day for my job.
I bought 3 different boots similar to these and the Garmont fit the best. The North Face Hedgehogs were a very close second to these boots. The Keens had a great rubber rand and seemed much more durable, but the fit was not right for me. They were heavy and very wide in the toe box. The Garmont's are a nice weight and definitely the warmest. They do run a bit on the small size. I'm typically a 9 or sometimes 9.5. The 9.5 fit perfect for me.
A great, lightweight, hiking boot. Waterproof uppers and stitching, nice protective soles. Worn with light/mid-weight wool socks, your feet will stay comfortable and dry. I wear Asolo TPS 535 for my backpacking trips, but maybe these might be used for short day trips. Garmont did a nice job with these lightweight hiking boots!
This boot is just what it says it is and the fit is perfect. It has amazing ankle support. I love Zappos, amazingly fast service. I would recommend this boot to anyone that needs good ankle support.
First of all, Zappos is terrific! Fast service and when you need it, returns. I don't know why anyone would go out to shop for shoes when Zappos is available. These hiking boots were exactly what I wanted. Break in time very short and comfortable almost immediately. It will take some time to see how they wear, and hold up to adverse conditions, rain, mud, water, etc., but out of the box they fit and are comfortable, and good looking. I recommend them highly.

I just got these boots, I ordered them yesterday and they were waiting for me today, Zappos you rock! The boots are wonderful! No more big and bulky snow for me to stay warm in subzero temp and snow. These are excellently made boots, they are top quality and should last for years. Goodbye Columbia forever!
These boots were deceptive. I expected them to be a cross between boots and sneakers that I could use for everyday cold wear. They are like astronaut boots. They made my feet look even bigger and they was awkward to walk in and I have very strong legs. Quality wise, they looked the part, but for the big foot clumsy look, I can do cheaper.
Great pair of sneakers. These are very sharp looking right out of the box. Light medium thick tread and for the most part supportive. They make your feet look shapely even though my feet are not narrow. I do feel the earth beneath me though. The sole could be a tad thicker as far as I am concerned. The coloring and style of these shoes is top notch.
A great shoe for hiking in warm weather; light in weight and excellent traction. A very good fit for my long, narrow, flat feet with plenty of vertical room in the toe box but no heel slippage.
They are so pretty! Toasty warm without making your feet sweat -- and my feet can sweat in flip-flops. Excellent room in the toe box, spacious, and you can choose to wear some pretty heavy duty socks -- although not necessary. Fantastic grip. The only downside, is that the ankle is incredibly stiff -- which can make you walk funny for a little while. Appears to be loosening up a bit, but may be purposeful to keep one from tipping over when they snowshoe....hmm. I like!
These are great. I ran across Garmont by chance one day and I have been buying their shoes ever since. The soles are a little slick when they are wet so be careful on smooth surfaces. Otherwise these will perform well in snow and ice. I got these to walk around town in. Although they work fine the same model in the MID version might be better suited for that. I bought the taller version for more ankle support. My only complaint is that whatever little nubuck was used is not of very high quality. Otherwise this is a decent boot. Great service from Zappos.

Absolutely the best boots for ice and cold. I live in Minnesota; have already broken my wrist once due to slipping on ice, so I am very particular and also skeptical. I wish these were a little more fashionable and/or pliable, but never mind - the most important thing is that I do not slip and my feet do not get cold, at all. Period. I'm buying some for my sister now.
Good looking boot with a rugged tread. I just received these boots, and am excited to get them out in the woods. I plan on snowshoeing with them, and am excited to see a small ring to hook my gaiters to!
Excellent boot! Thanks to the Garmont Momentum Icelock, large bulky boots are now a thing of the past. My toes stay warm and dry, in a boot that's comfortable to wear all day. To top that off, the IceLock soles really work. For the first time in years, I had great traction while walking the dog on our iced over roads without wearing my YakTrax! Thank you Garmont for designing such a great boot and Zappos for your continual outstanding service and selection!
These are very comfortable and good looking shoes. I love wearing them. The only thing that could use improvement is some ventilation, because they do not breath well and my feet get hot.
I have been hiking for over thirty years and find these to be by far the best boots I have ever worm. Broke them in on six days of hiking in the Smoky Mountains with nary a discomfort. I am most impressed with the support with scant compromise to weight and flexibility. And oh yeah - My feet remained dry after several stream crossings.
