These boots are so comfortable right out of the box - I did not even need to wear socks. They have a nice tapered toe, and are a good fit for narrow feet. I have waited a long time to get another pair of Frye's (38 years) and these are the ones. I love them. My new go-to boots for all occasions. Highly recommended.

I love these boots. The fit is great and they are comfortable right out of he box. I also like the roughed up leather, which give them just a different edge. They look great with skinny jeans, cropped pants and skirts. Frye make a beautiful boot! And Zappos is the absolute best, there is no other company like it!

There are many pros and cons to these boots. I bought them because of the style, but I have had to make several modifications in order to wear them. There is absolutely no arch support, so plan on buying inserts. The bottom of the heel has a rubber sole, but the rest is leather and they started to wear out at the toe within days. I had to take them to a shoemaker for rubber soles. Also note that the toe has been weathered to make the boots look worn. The bottom line is they are cute, but expensive and probably not worth it. I kept the boots because I had tried so many and was worn down.

Love these boots! Comfortable, super cute with pants and skirts, they are just about perfect. When I took them out of the box, they looked small, but I have been wearing them for two days with no problems. They are just a nice cut that looks very trim. The leather sole gives the boots a slightly dressier look compared to the Engineer style, which I also love, but these are my favorites. Also, I have narrow feet, and these hug my foot nicely. Thanks Zappos for quick shipping, great notifications.

These boots are super cute, and comfortable. They look great with skinny jeans, or rolled up straight leg jeans. The only problem I encountered is that they are hard to get on. I don't have a high arch, so getting them on should not be a problem. However, they are tight around the strappy area, and take some time and effort slipping my foot through the opening. It is worth it, once they are on! :)

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

Great boot! I almost returned these when they arrived, as they were extremely tight. After several days of extended wear, they loosened to a perfect fit and have become the 'go to' boot for all my casual uses with jeans and leggings. The suede does look a little grubby, but I am resigned to this being part of the look.

If you're looking for a boot that is just a little different these are the ones for you. They have great color contrast and the lower heel makes them really comfortable. It is true that they're very difficult to get on. Don't give up though, it's worth the tugging! They great with casual skirts and dresses, jeans in or out. I teach and I'm on my feet all day. They didn't need broken in and were great from the start!

I love these! What a great looking pair of boots. I went up half a size only because I have a few Fryes and frankly this time around, don't feel like having my feet bleed while I break them in (though I should note. Totally worth having my feet bleed...). They are a bit narrow in the toe, so if you have a wider foot, I'm not sure these will work for you. I love them. Can't wait for the weather to turn so i can wear them out of the house.

Awesome boots! I love them. I ordered a half size smaller. I used a bit of foot powder on the inside to help me get them on the first few times. Just like all boots that mold to your feet, with a bit of time, they fit to perfection. Lots of compliments each time I wear them and the quality is Frye (so they will probably outlast me). Buy them, you won't regret it. Very cute with leggins, skinny jeans, skirts and dresses.

This is a lightweight comfortable boot that looks really tough and cowgirl. I have worn these a lot already. I know some reviewers have said these boots were tight or ran small but that has not been my experience - I have consistently been a 9 in every Frye boot I have bought. The craftsmanship of Frye is always consistently excellent. These are boots you can wear all day and walk in all day and still feel good. They look great with denim washed skinny jeans tucked in.

This boot, in the Navajo print, is simply perfect. Exactly the boot I was looking for to add some style to casual looks. A great purchase.

This is my second pair of Fryes, and I am in love all over again. I was worried that I would not be able to wear these with as many different things as I do my other Fryes because of the print, but those fears have been unfounded. These boots add flair to any outfit, and can be styled in many different ways. They are comfortable even if you are on your feet all day. I am typically a women's size 10, but my Frye boots are size 11 and fit great, with room to allow me thick boot socks. I am completely sold on this brand as far as style and quality; I will continue to be a repeat customer.

These are very different boots for Frye. They are very unstructured and almost feel like moccasins with a sole. Not your harness work boot, the soles are leather and very slick. I used some silicon to help slip them on with ease. They do run on the typical Frye narrow side. The length is true to size. A very nice go to town boot, very stylish and very versatile; will go with a lot of outfits.
