The perfect boot! Leather is beautiful- perfect color. The leather is more soft that what I'm used to with Frye- but it's perfect for this style because it just hugs your ankle perfectly. The side zip also helps keep it tighter around your ankle while still giving you the ability to slip on the boot! Also I love the versatility of the cuff - this boot looks amazing as a knee boot and even more amazing as over-the-knee. I wear between a size 8.5 and 9. It was difficult for me to get my foot into the 8.5,(something about me having a long instep and not being able to get my foot in to the smaller size), but it fit well when I actually got it on. Found that the 9, however, was much easier to get on and fits just as well! Also, they are very comfortable!!!

I was sort of hoping I wouldn't like them because they are so expensive, but these are the most beautiful boots I've ever bought - and believe me, I've bought a lot of boots. They fit like a glove, are instantly comfortable, and I have hard to fit, problematic feet. The color goes with everything. They look great with jeans or you can dress them up. The convertible nature of the over-the-knee part makes them practical as well as beautiful. My only caveat would be if you have large calves because they fit fairly tight there, although the zipper helps. These are beautiful boots.

I'm glad that reviews are starting to come in for this boot! I was nervous ordering because there were zero reviews online, and because the tan color looks quite unappealing in the Zappos pictures (it looks better on the official site). This is definitely one of those boots that looks much better in person (not to mention less "piratey") and it looks great with anything (jeans, bare legs, leggings etc). The vintage tan is actually much richer than it appears here, and is almost the color of light chocolate milk. I originally ordered the tall Jane boot (which I liked photos of much more) but was disappointed when it only hit mid-knee uncuffed, which looked bad and felt uncomfortable. It was also a bit big for me in the calf. My calf is about 13.5 inches, and the Sarah is perfect. I have plenty of room for jeans or leggings, but for the first time I don't have a big gap with bare legs (the tan color is fantastic with bare legs and a dress by the way, it will transition great into spring). Uncuffed the boot fully covers my knee, but I like that it's not quite a thigh boot (which usually makes thighs look massive). Cuffed, it hits just below my knee and fully covers my calf (another rarity). I found this boot runs true to size (with room for socks) and the sizing seemed to match the Jane's. It's a tiny bit hard to get into even with the zipper, but they are very comfortable and supportive once on (no ankle rolling!). I have pretty flat feet, so I can't really vouch for arch support, but there's probably room for an insert if you need it. I really can't recommend this boot enough (unless you have very large calves). Besides being incredibly in-style this season, it won't go out of style either, and the quality is some of the best you'll find.

Very lovely boot! My heart skipped a beat when I opened the box! However, they were a bit tight in the heel with some pressure under the ball of my foot under big toe. I'm biting the bullet and returning them to order a 1/2 size up. I did find this surprising because I have very narrow feet, in my opinion, so I was surprised by the tightness. I hope a bigger size takes care of it. They are snug in the ankle, which is nice. I normally only find that with lace-ups, and they are skinny enough that my calves aren't swimming. It's like they were made for little calves...finally! Can't wait to get some new pants and tights to show these puppies off in. Hoping a bigger size works!

These boots are beautiful. I think there is a balance in the over the knee style between too much and just right and these are just right. The buckle strap can be taken off and gives the boot a bit of flair. It also is helpful when you have the cuff turned down to keep it from flapping out and looking too much like a boot a pirate would wear. I am a 7.5 and they fit true to size. They are a bit tighter around the ankle but I am sure that will soften and it also makes them look a bit sleek. I am a Frye fan so it would be hard to disappoint me!

Woo Hoo! Just got my boots. Ordered a half size up, returned an 8, got an 8...so much better! A little bit of wiggle room and even a bit more room for skinny leg jeans. Lord, give me the strength to rock more skinny leg jeans. My only complaint is that there is no arch support, so I'm going to get a thin insole to help with that. But, I'm very pleased otherwise. Oh, and I wish there was a bit of tread on the bottom of the boot, but I may add that later, too. Yay!

I love these boots! I got the brown ones and they are gorgeous! Frye never disappoints! Frye boots are a bit more pricey but with proper care, they'll last for years.

I love this boot! The leather is gorgeous; the style is amazing and the heel height perfect. It fits very close to the leg, and feels like it's been custom made. Frye has done it again! Just for reference, I usually wear an 8 but size down to 7½ in Frye.

Beautiful soft leather, easy to get on and very comfortable. They are expensive but I hope to have these boots for years. Heel is stable and easy to walk in. Love them!

Love this boot. However I am less than 5'1 and this boot is just too tall for me. I wish it came in a shorter version. The zipper is helpful; however it is a tight fitting boot. It's a lot of work to tuck in jeans, if that's how you plan to wear them that way. Leather is gorgeous, soft and the detailing is nice. I wish I didn't have to return them.

Love this boot. I bought the burnt red and the color is just the perfect red for me. I'm between sizes 6,5 and 7. Order the 6.5, so glad it fit me just right but be aware that it fits kind of tight around the ankle but the top opening has more room. I don't have thick legs but it's too tight for me to wear it over jeans. I have a few pairs of thick legging tights and that works out better. So comfortable to walk around town, very stable heel and I had walked in this boot shopping over the holidays for 6-8 hours straight! Zappos customer service is the best!

I have worn Frye boots for many years and love every pair! My mother however, has never worn Frye. In Louisville, this brand is not often available and she does not shop online, so has not had the opportunity to try Frye. I ordered the Sarah Over-the-Knee boot for her yesterday around 3. She was not aware of the order and was quite surprised when she found out how quickly Zappos got the order delivered. Even more pleased when she saw the beauty and craftsmanship of the boot. Once she had them on, I think she is now hooked, just as I am! Overall, the fit is great. Size runs true and although she has not had the chance to wear them, said they felt so good on her feet! Another great shopping experience with Zappos! And our cat, Nicky even loved the box! I have pictures and will try to post! So that makes 3 happy with one purchase! Again, thanks Zappos!

My perfect boots! I have very narrow calves and a lot of trouble finding a riding boot that don't look too baggy in the ankles. Also love that I could fold them over my knees and the interesting detail that makes them more unique than the common brown boot. Might take them to a cobbler to do something about the flat, smooth bottom of the shoe, but otherwise no complaint.
