Dressy classic - Frye has softened and dressed up the classic engineer boot. Heel is not as high, shaft not as tall as the traditional, black boot. Instead we have leathers that take a great shine and boots that are classy enough to go out on the town. Very comfortable and sharp looking.

Absolutely great boot! Looks fantastic and fits well, if you manage to get your size right on the first go. I didn't, but Zappos was incredibly helpful to get the ones I wanted. As everyone said, be sure to order a 1/2 size down, because you will be swimming in your normal size. But the quality is astounding, the style is par none, and the comfort is just right.

Everything you could want in an old school engineer boot, with modern touches. This is my third pair of Fryes (currently own these as well as a pair of James inside zip) and they never fail to disappoint. Great quality and looks. Do yourself a favor...shop all the other brands of boots and make Frye your last stop and purchase them. You won't be sorry.

I've been looking for a good motorcycle boot and since I have a pair of the Frye 12R harness boots which I love, decided to give their motorcycle boots a try. These are at least a full size too big for my size 9 feet. Even with a thick sock my feet were swimming in the boot. Otherwise, they look and seem to feel outstanding. So I'm sending them back for a smaller size. If they're in stock!

These boots are great. They are comfortable and packed with style. I wear a size 12E boot usually, after reading the advice of others order a 1/2 size down. If your looking for a comfortable and cool looking boot. Here it is!The quality and craftsmanship of Frye is second to none.

Great boot, but concept of size is way off. At least 1 and 1/2 sizes too big. Can’t comment on comfort or the like since I bought the smallest size (which is my normal size) and these boots are way too big.

I normally don’t write reviews mostly because I am too lazy to take the time. This is one exception! The boots are wonderful, very comfortable, very stylish, and I have received numerous complaints on them. I would agree with others regarding the size issue. I ordered 1/2 size smaller than normal and they fit great. Zappos.com is amazing! Super fast shipping, best online purchase experience I have had. I honestly check zappos before purchasing anything now just to see if they carry the item I desire.

Look out Frye - What a great shoe. I was looking to buy a pair of John Varvatos black boots (Mercer Boot), but didn't see the point since these shoes are better quality, made in the U.S.A. for years, and much easier on the wallet. The other Frye boots I own have definitely withstood the test of time. I foresee these boots heading down the same path.

Engineered for style - This boot was exactly what I had hoped for. The quality was excellent, but I already expected that from Frye. They took only a few days to feel broken in, and I have received a number of compliments as well.

Right boot at the right price - Nice boot at a reasonable price for a Frye boot. If you use an insole, try 1/2 size larger. Shipping is free.

Great Service- Great Boots - First, Zappos service is the BEST, this is not my first order and Zappos can't be beat. These boots are top quality and very comfortable- Frye always makes a quality product. As some of the other reviewers have said, buy 1/2 size smaller than you usually wear.

Incredible - Great boots. Took others advise to size down by 1/2 size and the boots fit great. Unbelievable service from Zappos. Incredible boots and service - These boots are amazing. I've never really worn boots before, so this is a big step for someone like me. While typically a size 12, I ordered a 12 and was surprised to see how loose the boot was on my foot. I processed a return, and ordered a size 11 which fits my foot like a glove. I love them! Also thanks to Zappos, I ordered the smaller pair at 10:30pm and it was waiting for me by the time I got home from work the next day!
