Love these shoes. They seem true to size, though perhaps a tad long. After an hour or so at home they softened up and fit great. I tried the Clarks Wallabees, but found these to be a less dowdy style (though less cushiony). The Fryes are still comfy and seem more versatile than the Wallabees; could even be worn with a skirt.

I love these. The color is rich, the suede soft, and the shoe itself very comfortable. I adore the woven details and the folky '70s vibe of the chukka. And I really like that they aren't too moccasin or boat shoe (death). The other reviewer mentioned these are a bit long, but that's the style and in my normal size there is maybe a 1/4 of an inch between my big toe and the tip of the shoe -- not that long. I have last season's suede shoe that is very similar to this style and they are the most comfortable shoes I own. I can walk around all day in them and I had no break in period. I hope they keep up this style for seasons to come. Lovely shoe.

I found these to run fairly large. I'm an 7.5-8. But I think I might have needed a 7, maybe even 6.5. Awesome style for Spring/Summer. I was a little worried about keeping the light gray suede clean, so I returned them. But I might call them back once the warm weather hits! I usually find I have a 1-2 week break in period with Fryes, but these are super comfy right out of the box.

Really love the style and color of these. They are like a huarache meets desert boot meets moccasin. They are on the long side, but I think it's the style. If you're between two sizes order down and you'll be happier.

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.
