Just got these delivered yesterday. Which, seriously, Zappos, can you please stop exceeding my expectations? Overnight delivery for no charge. It makes all of my other online shopping experiences suck in comparison. Anyway, these boots are amazing. You get what you pay for here folks. Amazing quality, amazing leather, and the fit is ridiculous. Seriously the most comfortable pair of boots I own. And for the record, I take my boots seriously. Have a pair of To Boots that are nice but nothing compared to these. If you want the real deal then buy some Frye's. I wear a 10-10.5 and order the 10 and it was dead on perfect fit. Also, maybe (if your odd) it would be a turn off but the leather is so good that you can smell it when you wear them. Which if you are like me enjoy. Sure it will fade shortly. In summary these are a kick ass pair of boots for jeans. I wear them when I ride and they are perfect. Drop the clams on them, you won't be disappointed.

Boots are well constructed and true to image on the site. They were a bit large...about a half size. I purchased an athletic shoe insert which took up the extra space and added more comfort to the boot. I am quite pleased with my selection. Zappos service is second to none.

This is a well made, beautiful boot. I really like the way it looks vintage, like I've had it for years already. I normally wear a 10.5 or 11, and I ordered a 10 and 10.5 and wound up keeping the 10.5. This is my first boot of this type, and I kept the one that fit me best out of the box. I am not certain if it would have been better to choose the one that seemed a bit snug initially. I guess time will tell. It is surprisingly comfortable, and exceedingly well made. I am glad I spent the money and went with this one----it is a little more dressy; than some of the other models, and basically looks like a dress shoe with pants over it. I will say that I definitely prefer a loose fitting or bootcut pant with the boot, but that is likely personal preference.

Ordered these for my son who will be graduating college and it is time to get out of the tennis shoes! Run a size larger as we ordered his usual size 10.5 and a 10 from the reviews. Ended up with a 9.5. He loves them, especially with the side zip. Recommend wearing barefoot.

"Zappos came through again." I ordered a pair of these Phillip Inside Zip boots and am I pleased. Very glad I went with the Frye boots, the fit is unbelievable. These boots fit like a glove, very soft leather and great looking. I normally wear a size 11, but ordered a size 10-1/2, as the reviews had mentioned. I'm wearing these everyday. Can't wait to order again.

The Frye Company was founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a shoemaker from England. Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers for both sides of America’s Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-America war, and for Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. Many New England families during the mid and late 1800’s wore Frye boots as they pioneered across the country to the West.

Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.

In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.

The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

Great boots. Great experience. The boots came 3 days after ordering. Love them. Just what they apppear to be. Very strong leather smell that is still noticable a month later. Very comfortable.

I really like these boots. They look just as good if not better than they do in the pictures. I bought them for a new years party. I unfortunately did not end up keeping them. Maybe its just because I have skinny legs, being that I am very tall. But after wearing them for a while, I found that the zipper rubbed against the inside of my leg. Even with socks, I was left with a blistered cut on the inside of my leg. I'm not sure if the shoe should be to blame, or the skinny legs I was cursed with. Either way, I recommend checking these out, they are very nice boots, and I wish they had worked out for me. Just check and make sure you wont have the same issue I did with the zipper. I should also note that Zappos has the absolute best customer service out there. And they allowed me a courtesy one time only return even though they were slightly worn. They will be my only source for new footwear in the foreseen future.

Zappos are great, these boots not so much. Probably a full size larger than marked and, in my opinion, overpriced considering the quality. Style is the high point on these, but I ordered something else.
