Beautiful boot. And comfortable despite the high heel because the foot is padded and the toebox is high, so there's lots of squishy fun wiggle room. The leather is so soft and the elastic gussets make it easy to pull on and off. Unfortunately I'm already 5'9" and they made me just a little too tall for my own comfort, but if you like a beautiful boot and you can wear the heels (they felt much taller than 3" to me) - I highly recommend this bootie.

Gorgeous boot! The pictures do not do them justice...at all! The color and the texture are awesome Frye quality. I have a high arch/instep and had no problem getting them on and off. Plenty of toe room. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8 and the 7.5 is perfect with a lightweight sock or tights. They are very easy to walk in and go with jeans or dress pants. Definitely worth the money!

This was a really nice looking boot; however, the quality wasn't as good as my other (much more expensive) Frye boots. This boot is made in China, not Mexico like the higher end Frye boots and you can really tell the difference. The stitching wasn't quite right and the leather wasn't as rich and smooth. If the price had been lower I may have kept them but I just didn't feel the workmanship was worth the price tag. It's a shame because I like the style.

Gorgeous and comfortable! Hard to believe with that high of heel but there is so much support in the ball of the foot, it's amazing.

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

Gorgeous boot, beautiful leather. The platform sole with good cushion in the ball of the foot makes these surprisingly comfy.

These boots are gorgeous and comfortable once you break them in. I recommend wearing them with thicker dress socks for 3 hours a week for about 3 weeks so your feet and legs don't get sore. I had to order down a 1/2 size so they wouldn't be loose on my heel. They can definitely be slick in the slush and snow, and the leather on the sole tends to scuff. But I can look past that since they add about 3 inches to my height and make my otherwise huge feet look small and dainty. Definitely a good buy - looks great with jeans or dress pants.

I hate buying things online since I can't try them and photos can be deceiving. But I have problems finding nice, comfortable and great quality shoes at a great price in most stores. So I decided to give it a try and ordered this boots expecting the worse, but hoping for the best! I expected the shoes to arrive in 5 days, and they arrived in less than 24 hours! I was impressed! Then I tried them and fell in love and are great, good leather quality, cute and very comfortable. I love the brown color as well. The height is perfect for me and can wear them for a long time. Too bad they don't have my size 6 in black! I wear them with my merino light hiking socks, and they keep my feet very comfortable and warm. Simple design, but very elegant. Great boots! I love them with my jeans.
Brands I'd also recommend: Asolo, Keen, La Sportiva, Teva

These are gorgeous, well-made shoes. I subsequently bought them in brown as well after I received these. I am petite (5'4); these make my short torso and legs look long and lean! These look amazing with either jeans or a skirt. 4 stars on comfort because these shoes are a little uncomfortable on the toes at first: wear thicker socks until you're used to the shoes.

Elegant, stylish, quality...these boots are so well made, from the beautiful leather to the comfortable platform and perfect heel height. I only gave them 4 stars for comfort because any heel is hard to walk on in the city after a few hours...nice and wide to fit socks or swollen feet!
Brands I'd also recommend: Frye, Born, Franco Sarto

I am a big fan of Frye boots. My normal size ranges from 9-9.5, and a 9.5 in these are perfect. They are just the right amount of casual and dressy so they work with jeans and dresses.

First, Zappos sent this pair of boots speedy quick. Secondly, these boots are wonderful. It appears well made and as soon as you slip these on, it's a bit of heaven. The hidden platform makes these very comfortable to walk in. These look great with jeans and though I haven't yet, these will also look great with dresses.

This style is so comfortable and the heel height is perfect. A great basic boot. I usually take a 7 or 7 1/2 with Frye and a 7 1/2 is perfect in this style. Great with jeans and great for walking.

I just ordered these after reading numerous reviews and they are the perfect fall brown boot. I'm actually thinking of getting the black one now also.

Amazing boots! These boots are the perfect height and extremely comfortable due to the hidden platform. I have worn casual with jeans and even under slacks at work. I only wish they had my size in black because I would order in a heartbeat. These are very well made, you won't regret getting them.

Loved, loved, loved this boot. Leather was beautiful and being Frye’s I know the leather would have been durable for years. Heel height and platform awesome, but alas I just couldn't get the "right" fit. I usually wear a 9 in Fryes, but the 9 felt huge. I ordered an 8.5 and it was too small. Unfortunately, I had to send them back. I'm still looking for the perfect short boot.

Beautiful boot, dressy enough for under slacks. Platform helps heel height, which feels higher than 3". However, for hoofing through an airport, these are too high for me. Wish Frye had a lower heeled version, I'd buy it for sure!

The shoes look great, but run a little big. I ordered size 8 and they are slightly big which hurts my toes. Will be looking for something to put in the show to help with the size issue. Being half size bigger it makes it harder to walk in unless you are wearing really thick socks.
